I will crash out if this is revealed in the lore.

I hope wynncraft doesn't pull an inscryption on us and say "You aren't the {Ragni Soldier}, you are just a scholar from the future attempting to piece together a vision of their adventure. Their adventure was very open and up to interpretation. They could've been a magical or martial fighter with magical-ish abilities. There are even conflicting reports as to what their name could've been."

It would be a super lazy and 4th wall breaking way of explaining why everyone experiences the same adventure.

 

And this is bad compared to "Somehow thousands of Fruman recruits had marginally different adventures but all eventually became strong enough to impact unthinkably powerful entities?" (unless only the presence of one Player is canon) This just a really weird thing to bring up given that the player doesn't even have a backstory, but to each their own I suppose.

 

why would it? Does anything even suggest we'd take the story in this direction?

 

the final quest should reveal that your entire journey in wynncraft.. was all a dream and you wake up in a random house

 

Maybe that's why you never had a life before you came to Wynn. You just appeared through the dream and thus never had a before... That would also expalin why it starts out in darknes!
