I finally took the time to sit down and make this build and stop using morph. It doesn't have as much sustain as I would like but I think it turned out good. Also I don't know which powders are good for what armor so any tips on that would be great. Any glaring mistakes or improvements?

Not a bad start! Something important to keep in mind for spell spam builds, aside from mana regen/steal, is the spell cost.
Say you are casting storm-bomb at 6 clicks per second (cps), with the spells costing 20 mana each. This means you will be losing 40 mana in per second. But what if the spells costed 16 mana each? Then you will only lose 32 mana per second casting at 6 cps. At first glance, 8 mana doesn't seem like a big difference, however, mana regen id is every 5 seconds (e.g. 15/5 = 3 mana/second), while mana steal id is every 3 seconds (e.g. 15/3 = 5 mana/second). Given how much spell cost reduction are on different items, think of how much less mana regen/steal you will need to build! That being said, mana regen and mana steal are still very important.
There are a few ways to reduce spell cost:
    1. Intelligence
    2. Raw spell cost
    3. Spell cost %
    4. Ability tree
    (might be missing others).
Playing around in Wynnbuilder, The order in which these are applied seems to be Spell cost nodes from ability tree > % reduction from Intelligence > Raw spell cost ids > % spell cost ids.
You can argue that raw spell cost nodes and ids are ineffective and therefore a waste of an item slot because they are applied before the % reduction, but sometimes it's about how large that value is too. Even more importantly, how items with these ids can fit in your build.
    • Intelligence alone is usually not enough. However, it reduces the spell cost on all spells, which makes it useful for builds where you are utilizing different spells.
    • Raw spell cost and spell cost % are ids that appear on items. For bolt, you mostly want to focus on 1st spell cost (arrow storm) and 3rd spell cost (arrow bomb). For Freedom in particular, the boots Martingale is popular right now as it provides -1st and -3rd spell cost %. The Freedom build on the Ultimate Build Guide by Sugo uses both Martingale, and the helmet Third Eye to lower spell cost on storm and bomb. But also notice the high Intelligence in that build. 2 accessories that are often used in Boltslinger and Sharpshooter builds are either Draoi Fair or Dragon's Eye Bracelet as they provide raw spell cost for storm and bomb respectively. Obviously, there are many other items that have either the raw or % spell cost ids on them, so play around with them in your builds and see what you can come up with!
    • Lastly, your ability tree not only provides cheaper spell cost nodes, but also nodes that help with sustain. Bolt with Recycling, Trapper with Mana Trap, and Sharpshooter. . . nonexistent. Recycling activates the most often on arrow bombs for bolt as bouncing bomb, grape bomb, and shrapnel bomb are usually taken in the tree. Any bombs that hits a block will be counted towards Recycling, which lowers your spell cost in a way. You can also gain mana from arrow storm, but less from mobs with a larger hit box. Buckshot I am more uncertain about because it shoots out piercing arrows, so I am not sure if they all get recycled.
TL;DR A combination of these methods are usually used to reduce spell cost, and getting the spell cost down is pretty important for spell spam builds in general.
I would recommend looking at different bolt builds people made on the Build Guide and around the internet.

Although outdated, I found this useful when I started making builds: 2.0 Freedom Thread This guy also makes good builds on yt.
How Damage is Calculated. I don't rlly understand a lot of it, but might be useful.
