Crafting and Professions Questions

Hello everyone. I have a few questions about crafting and professions.


My first question is about the attack speed tier on a crafted weapon. Is there any way to influence an item so that it comes with fast attack speed, or is it completely random when crafting an item?


My second question is about powders. I am playing on the Craftsman challenge, and I would like to know if there is any way to use powders during item crafting. When I tried to craft with them, the effect was not applied to the equipment, and on the items it shows 0% effectiveness as an ingredient, so I’m honestly not very sure how this works.


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

- according to the wiki the attack speed is randomly selected from either fast, normal or slow.

- crafted gear has powder slots just like some normal items, so you would apply powders at the powder master after crafting the item. The amount of slots depends on the level: below 31 gives 1 slot, from 31 to 70 gives 2 slots and 71 and above gives 3.

 

Crafting items with powders as ingredients - you only get the elemental defence (armour/accessories)/damage (weapons) from the powders.

The powder special effect only applies to powders infused into powder slots - Infusing minimum 2 of same-element powders (tier 4 and above) at the powder master.
