Opinions on Hytale

Hello! Its been a long while since I've been on the forums(traveling for over a month). Hope everyone is doing well :D

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before or if I'm the first but id like to know what others think about Hytale and how it will reflect on wynncraft. Since hytale is designed to be a rpg game using a similar engine to minecraft I am intrested how wynncraft will fare with this new mcrpg competitor. I think wynncraft will be fine regardless since its been around forever and honestly is the best mcrpg I've seen in a while. But I'm curious if any other wynn players will also be playing hytale?

 

I'm not sure what to say other than it being cancelled was VERY funny after it's long development time, although at least the game designers can get paid now

 

They're completely different flavors of RPG. Its like comparing Skyrim and RuneScape - they're both RPGs but they're wildly different in gameplay. RPG is a very broad term.

 

i think i would defenitly play hytale! from the gameplay i have seen it looks really fun, i think it would be very much alike wynncraft ( @Deusphage ) because from the looks of it its just wynncraft but with a gameengine desinged for it. i personally think it has classes for example, but that doesnt mean im quitting wynn! cuz in the gameplay there was no multiplayer AT ALL and thats why i like wynn so much ecpecially. the connections you form with other people, meeting them in raids because of the matchmakig system, and then doing raids together! the discord community is something else entirely, but if you just dont go in the discord you should be fine. my way of ignoring wynncrafts lack of endgame content is getting all hyped over a new build that your making, a new playstyle, and then when you have it play a few raids or other content with it and realise it isnt as fun as your other build that actually does damage, and then you switch back and repeat the cycle. im really hyped about summoner for example! searching the forums (ultimate build guide) thinking i could do better (realise i cant most of the time) and getting the build! bye, this was me, imma go read a good book now.

 

First of all hytale looks really boring

second of all they are completely different games with different ideas for what the game is supposed to be

 

Have you been looking at the same game?
Its a survivalcraft game. Its closer to Terraria than Wynncraft. It has random terrain generation and base building and resource gathering. It's the same sort of RPG as Minecraft and Vintage Story - it just leans into it a lot more than Minecraft, which is survival first and RPG elements second.

 

I've been invested in it since it's reveal trailer and I think it will be a nice breath of fresh air after playing Minecraft for so long. Don't get me wrong, I love Minecraft, but I don't like the direction it's taken recently and there are a lot of things about Hytale that I wish Minecraft would've done a while ago, so I'm really excited to finally play it after the long wait.
Simon Hypixel really knows what us as gamers want, so I am confident about it's future and I know that it's finally in good hands. There is a lot of potential for what it can become with how amazing it's community is. Just ignore their Discord for right now until the moderation becomes better.

 

Anyways my actual opinion on Hytale is im very interested in it from the perspective of a creator because they seemingly give you all their tools and let you do whatever the hell you want with them
