Wynncraft's font as a .otf

I wanted this and thought would be helpful to share. Below is a link (fragment) to a google drive folder containing the project (the font as a .svg and the fontForge project as a .sdf) and the .otf file. You can use this in VSCode text editors with a bit of finagling. For VSCode, I had the following settings in my settings.json file:

This font doesn't contain the Gavellian or Wynnic symbols because I couldn't be bothered.

On a somewhat unrelated note do you or anyone else here know how to get the Wynncraft font be a typable GIMP one? I'm not sure how GIMP fonts work but if there's a way for me to type in Wynncraft fonts at a tiny height of 7 pixels without anti-aliasing on GIMP's part then do let me know

I just want to add Wynncraft text into GIMP at the pixel size it suggests without having to copy-paste every letter one at a time

 

Okay! Your question was the one I needed as well. In the same google drive folder I have added a 7px and 14px version of the fonts. The Wynncraft font is 10 X 14 pixels (like, thats the minimum size it can be rendered at), which means that the 7px renders as a worse version of Mojangles, the default Minecraft font. Below is a rendering within the GIMP editor of the 7px, 14px, and former versions of the font. I am not familiar with GIMP, so I wasn't able to export the image and view a final product without anti-aliasing in the image.



Seems like I need to fix some of the artifacts (such as the 4 in the 14px render)...

Oh shoot sorry my mistake Wynncraft's font is indeed 14 pixels, not 7 lol

I do need one where you can type them out pixel-perfect, though
As in the letters typed out matches the original appearance 1:1

I have updated all the files in the drive. For gimp, the anti-aliasing option has to be unchecked.

 

Hey, I've been working (a strong word f0r what I've been doing) on something sorta like WynnCrafter (from WynnBuilder) but with the look of the Wynncraft crafting stations as pet project to learn JSwing or JavaFX. Would I be allowed to use it (with credit of course) as the font?

 

yeah bro go ahead, lmk if you want the whole symbol table. Right now its just alphanumerics and ascii symbols. Also, let me know if something doesn't work

The p, q and y seem to be extended a little but otherwise that's cool! Once you fix those I'll try it out whenever I'm able to

Also are you able to include the special characters (fullstop, comma, question mark, dash, colon, etc.)?

i have the special symbols in the font currently. That error is strange and goes away at 28 px. I have no idea why

Edit: Okay I am silly goose and the error is that the svg was wrong for SEVERAL characters. Fixing now

 

So after some teeth pulling, it's all updated.

Please continue to scrutinize, does this look right? Are all the symbols there?

Seems like we're using slightly different fonts, I'm using the "ascii" one directly from the resource pack

 

Ah frick. Do you have the whole image on you with Wynnic and Gavellian symbols or is this the whole thing? I am embarrassed to say that I got my image from a forum post on the history of the Wynncraft font and not from the resource pack itself. This is because I do not know how get the resource pack. I can update the font though using this image.

Also:
1. The font is NOT monospace, right? I would have no idea on how to get the exact horizontal kerning other than testing it.
2. The font has a drop shadow, but I would have no idea on how to add that in either. I haven't tested much, but none of it seems to work the way I want it to. Is this something you would want on the font level?

Colon, Semicolon, V, double quote, single quote, ampersand, parenthesis, star, comma, period, 1, 6, 9, question mark, @ symbol, Q, whack (that mistake feels extra silly), tick, f, m, n, u, v, tilde

I would post all the fonts but I think that technically kinda falls under distributing Wynncraft assets, I just realized
I'm sure it's fine since I literally just posted the regular font above but still

Best I can do is provide you the exact filepath to get to the Five, Wynnic, Gavellian and Regular fonts and ask someone else to tell you how to get the pack downloaded

Imma chime in here just in case it helps. The font you are recreating looks a lot like the one that can be found in wynn's site cdn:
