There’s usually only like 1500 players. Looking to getting into it but wondering how the player count is like.

    Thank you

I'm certainly not a server developer, but just like I would do it, and probably like they did it, Wynncraft is divided into dozens, if not hundreds, of worlds, including EU, NA, AS, and the server lobby. The number of players on the server is all the players in all of these worlds.

I'm not sure about the lobbies, but I think they're worth counting, too.

If I'm not mistaken it can reach up to 3,000 players at peak hours in festivals and during Annie. For 99% of Minecraft servers, 3,000 active players is unimaginable, so I'd say Wynncraft is doing very well.

maybe it's just a case of the age-old (definitely) phrase: "when all you have is hypixel, everything looks a fail"

I dunno man, Hypixel kinda looks like a fail to me... Wynncraft has a whole community's worth of good people on it daily, whilst Hypixel is actively working against the good parts of their player base by making their games unfriendly to casual players.

Hypixel? Hypixel SkyBlock? Haven't played it in a good while but some of my biggest gripes back then were that the entire game is basically just grind disguised as content and offered little stability (insane economic inflation, build obsolescence, etc.) and as a result playing it didn't feel very rewarding. You actually had to KEEP playing to avoid rapidly falling behind. Plus locking a bunch of random stuff behind other random stuff, like what do you MEAN I need to upgrade my museum rank in order to be able to store more money in my bank? It also doesn't really help that you can spend dozens of millions without even making much of a dent in your museum rank, either.

My fondest memory was quitting after grinding my butt off to get a Reaper Scythe, only for them to nerf it from being a decent but fun and gimmicky weapon into being an active hindrance to the user.
Kinda stings when you reward players like that for spending time playing your game.

Meanwhile the emeralds I got from selling a mythic years ago and the build I haphazardly assembled around the same time actually held on to their value so I don't think Hypixel can even hold a candle to Wynncraft (plus it actually has content)

    Sorry for the rant :'(

it was just a pun (when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail)
and (also) the simultaneous acknowledgement that hypixel is really popular (last I checked), so if you're comparing the two Wynn 'looks like a fail'

Ahh I didn't know about that expression..
Hypixel is still very popular yes but luckily player count does not a good game make.

To add, also Vampire Slayer is locked being wolf slayer. Your telling me I have to grind how many wolf slayers to get enough XP to be able to craft gear (not including the fact that I have to grind for the mats) so I can grind more wolf slayer to get a single pair of leggings so I can grind how many vampires so I can craft a new piece of armor so I can do vampire T3 as opposed to T2 so I can grind even more vampire slayer to get the last timecharm, so I can progress to the next area and do even more grinding till I need to level up my armor, in which case I have to do Vampire Slayer how many times to get enough xp to unlock the rest of the armor so I can grind even more to get it so I can then go to the mountain top and grind even more to complete the rift and vampire slayer? If you like to grind I suppose HSB is the game for you. Mad respect for those that can do it.
