So my friend and I started the respective title run and while farming I decided to start documenting it. Never really delved into crafting and I wanted this experience to feel more precarious so that is why we went Ironman and Hardcore. Decided on archer as my class because honestly... I hate archer. Never played it after Spellbound so that is why I decided to give it a try. Main reason as to hating the class is because the attack and spell keys are swapped and I am an Assassin chud (Trickster ftw) and I hate change lol. I'm going to log updates in here, mainly plans/crafts incase I decide to do another run like this in the future.

    RAGNI --> DETLAS (LVL 1 - 11)

Starting off I almost died due to the stinking Pigmen Barbeque Cave... forgot archer was squishy as cheeks. Also the amount of times I messed up the attack and spell keys were downright embarrassing... That is when I did one thing I'm decent at: Routing.

I've down one-life challenges in other games and my most successful runs were from planning grind spots for expiernece, gear I would pick up and skill trees I would build. Three issues tho:
    1. Craftsmen has plenty of ingredients so knowing what was good/bad is something I am not aware of. Also just learning about resource tiers and tool durability aka general crafted tool rules.
    2. IDK WHAT ARCHER DOES. Any tree/skills are just a mystery to me.
    3. Routing Wynncraft, I decided to score this run on many fronts but one was Content Completion so that I am required to do the content and not focus on power leveling to max.
So we started by taking a step back and learning about crafting, Mainly a new bow. It requires Wood and String, using the gathering post quests to find decent farming spot I not only able to level up both Woodcutting and Fishing to level 10 but also stay alive! (Those zombie horses that spawn were almost the death of me...) These gathering quests also give me combat XP which enabled me to level up while grinding professions. After making a new bow, I got Woodworking up quite a bit so I settled on a LVL 5 basic bow with no ingredients since I didn't know what was good. I then completed the rest of the Gathering Jobs (Mining and Farming) getting those skills to LVL 10.

Now that I had resources to make armour, I wanted to learn about ingredients. Using forum posts such as SmileandWaveBoyz crafting guide (Cannot Link atm)
And the wiki, I was able to absorb information I thought would help me progress through the early game. Here is what I learned:
    1. Crafting with ingredients levels you up wayyyyyy quicker.
    2. Strong Flesh is one of the best early game damaging ingredients... at least it feels like it is. Main Attack Damage is pretty important due to lack of mana regeneration so being able to one-shot smaller mobs while saving Arrow Storm and Bomb Arrow for tankier mobs and crowds respectively.
    3. Escape is annoying for travelling... but damn has it saved me from tight situations. Arrow Shield having 20% resistance is good too.
Having LVL 10 armour and bow made many of the earlier game quests and caves so much safer. Managed to complete all of the LVL 1-11 quests and caves. Regarding skill points I specced into Thunder and Fire, since Arrow Storm will be my main damage option having more Thunder damage would suit it nicely. As for archetypes: while I am too low level atm, Boltslingers Guardian Angels look close enough to Assassins Spin Attack so I'll fall down that path when the time comes. Completed the Decrepit Sewers and got my T3 gathering tools which feels like a big win.

    DETLAS --> INFESTED PIT (LVL 11 - 22)

I've worked on this progression guide in my head: Meaning what time I will create new armour, bows and potions and it looks like this:
LVL 11 --> Has LVL 11 armour, bows and potions.
LVL 16 --> New bow to keep up with enemy HP
LVL 21 --> New armour, potions and bow that match-up with the new resources/ingredients that I can gather.
(I made armour at LVL 19 due to lack of HP)

It's simple since its the early game but it gives me a guideline as leveling up my combat level then stopping to level up my resource level. The main take away is that I level up my bow more than my armour atp since the best defense is to kill everything before it kills me lol. Anyways I did the same steps from the last post (Gather posts for Profession and Combat EXP) and had run-ins with dangerous mobs such as The Time Anomaly near the Gather Barley quest. After hitting LVL 16 on Woodcutting and Farming, I made a new bow using the same ingredients as last time (6 Strong Flesh lol) which made mob grinding/cave delving safer. Hill Hovel, Winery Infestation and Spore Spiral were some caves I've completed, where I reached around LVL 17? I still had some LVLs I needed to complete before I hit LVL 19 ( I wanted new armour since I felt the damage I was taking was too great.) That was when I tried World Events, and while the EXP was not great, the ingredients I could get was astounding...

Elaborating on that in the next post, completing quests such as Maltics Well and Elemental Exercise bumped me up to LVL 19 where I crafted new armour! This is where I started to class build with ingredients.
    • My Boots and Pants were made with Tier 2 Ingredients, for the boots I used the Wool you find on the Sheep outside of Detlas (The Pink Wool I'm saving for later armour) My pants were made with this ingredient called Paralyzing Spores. These bump up Spell Damage and Main Attack Damage massively with the downside of taking away Walk Speed. But the bonus damage is too good to pass up.
    • Chestplate and Pants were made with Strong Flesh (Still one of the best ingredients imo.)
    • Both of my Rings were made using the Forest Web which give you Walk Speed, essentially cancelling out the negative Walk Speed from my Pants.
    • Necklace was made with Poisonous Spider Eyes, the poison damage would help with whittling down tougher mobs while my mana was regenerating.
    • The Band was made with a mix of Poisonous Spider Eyes and Forest Silk along with one piece of Luxurious Silk, while it is the most unimpressive piece of equipment I have, I still felt completed making it.
With this gear, I completed the Infested Pit. Honestly an underwhelming dungeon regarding the challenges on this character since I cannot use the weapons from the shop, they still sell T3 Tools and they have no powder for sale either. But it is a milestone for the challenge.

INFESTED PIT --> PREPARATIONS FOR UNDERWORLD CRYPT (LVL 22 - 27)

With the completion of the second dungeon, Underworld Crypt is the next milestone... I started my Combat LVL grind by making a new bow to clear out the remaining caves up to LVL 21. This is where I learned the importance of World Events since they guarantee rare mob spawns. The mob I was after is the Defender of the Plains and the ingredient Defender's Stone due to the Neutral Main Attack Damage. While I am not an expert on Wynncraft Damage Calculations, more damages = more winning. Along with a new bow, LVL 23 marked me obtaining Guardian Angels which are basically turrets that fire at close enemies. My new game plan was using Guardian Angels for mobbing support while Arrow Storm killed mobs with bigger health bars, supplementing my main attack whenever mana was low (gotta keep enough for Escape just in case!)

This new bow has the following ingredients:
T1 Berley String T1 Birch Wood
    Bob's Tear Draining Bone
    Defenders Stone Draining Bone
    Defenders Stone Draining Done

    This bow marked me learning:
    1. Ingredients Tiers corollate to Weapon Damage and Durability (This bow as 29 Durability...)
    2. Bob's Tear is one of the best early ingredients due to boosting effects under it by 25%!! While it is not the most noticeable on Defender's Stone, ingredients with bigger boosts will feel the effect.
    3. Health Regen/Steal, and how important of an effect it is when I can kite mobs and avoid CQC with them.
This is the bow I am currently using and have cleared caves in the Nemract area such as Lovers Cavern and Muddy Cavern. As of now, I've discovered Durum Isles from Jcoder987 Profession grind spots list. I need the Grain and Oil for new potions since mine are outdated. After full stacking these potions, I plan to make new armour with my respective LVL being 27 to take on the Underworld Crypt; my next milestone and getting those T4 Tools. Next update will be the completion of the Underworld Crypt. As of now, I am figuring out new armour ingredients since the list has expanded yet again!

    PREPARATIONS PT1 (LVL 27 - 30)

Few notes on what I've learned making the bow I've posted. (Don't mind the inventory)
    • Potato's and the Loot Bonus they've provide helps with the mob grinding process, even if it is by a little bit.
    • Roots of Corruption is fricken scary like they have imps that blow themselves up??? DO NOT go in there unless your ready.
    • Mob Totems are the other way of boosting your ingredient drop chance but you can get overwhelmed leading to a premature death.
    • Another good ingredient is the Split Essence, having Mana Steal and Spell Damage. Really important stats especially for the early game since you can get them pretty easily.

    PREPARATIONS PT2 (LVL 30)

Here is the gear I've made to complete the Underworld Crypt. Some notes about the choices in gear.
    • Old Bones were used for a majority of the helmet and chestpiece (forgot to post helmet :p) due to the Spell Damage and accessibility to farm. I had some Beak of Nivlan Beauty which I used for both helmet and chest piece.
    • Warped Skin was the main ingredient for the boots and pants due to the Defense Boost, making my total damage reduction 30%~ which is pretty nice. Relic of the Past offered more Defense and needed Health Regeneration. Loot Bonus is a staple of these armour pieces, the Old Coin seen is the start of that increase.
    • ALL my rings, bracelet and necklace have the Fake Tooth which increase Loot Bonus, too ease up on grinding later after the dungeon. My damage is great enough with Arrow Storm and Guardian Angels which is why I'm opting for utility with my accessories.
I probably will take this armour to Timelost Sanctum also but that dungeon is a little sketchy since I have not played it enough. But the first victory will be from Underworld Crypt.

Ayyyy hotbar is looking cleannnnn. Kinda miss old UNderworld Crypt with the summoning soldiers but it still is one of my favorite dungeons to run. Timelost tho... not the worst honestly but I do miss the old dungeon too but Garoth as a boss was tougher. Next steps will be leveling up to mid 30's for a new bow.

    QUEST TO LEVEL 36 (LVL 30 - 36)

My draft for the updates on this reply got deleted... so I will keep it brief. Here are some more updated danger spots:
    • Bovine Barn even if you are higher level
    • Anywhere in Almuj since higher level enemies have the Multi-Hit and Arrow Storm Spell
    • Mob Totem enemies if you do not have high ground
But the most dangerous spell is the Wave Spell which doomed my Archer... Wave Cult Cave was where I lost this run. I will say my heart grew 3x for the Archer class since I was dishing out sooooo much damage. I plan to do another HIC run with the Shaman since I am more familiar with the class. Whether it would be a new forum post or a reply to this one, it will be started when my Shaman is LVL 36 and I will be referring to this forum post for ingredients/danger spots. Maybe one of you will head my warnings and learn to appreciate Strong Flesh like I have.
