Necroposting

There is this old post, the Infinite Tutorial (https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/the-infinite-tutorial.315256/). The last post was the 7th of September so it is past 30 days time. The rules on necroposting contain a line saying that necroposting "is not allowed unless your post starts a new discussion". If I were to post and add another step, would that be counted as necroposting?

 

i suddenly panicked and thought that I had dropped the ball. Luckily, I remembered to post, and it was not my fault. phew.

 

I personally would say no (even if being continued after a handful of months of inactivity seems fine) given adding more steps is still contributing to the conversation, even if it's a silly one.
I'm not a mod though, so take that with a brain of salt. It's just my interpretation of the rules
