    Hi Hi!

The pack isn't dead, but I haven't had a chance to actually model anything since the last update (due to exams, life, not being at my computer, reading manga, etc).

Anyways, if you have any requests for weapons to give a skin to (that isn't already in the pack), please let me know now. Below is a list of models that I have made concepts for and are on the way:
    • Aftershock
    • Apocalypse
    • Az
    • Divzer
    • Grandmother
    • Guardian
    • Immolation
    • NOT Inferno
      • I refuse to do Inferno because boring weapon + boring lore = boring model, so I'll either never do it or wait for it to get an overhaul or rework. Or I'll wait for someone more creative than me to request it and give me some help.
    • Pure
    • Straiformis
    • Sunstar
    • Thrundacrack
    • Warp (which concludes every Mythic)
    • Air in a Can
    • Catamaran
    • Deadeye
    • Forlorn Pursuit
    • Grand Design
    • Herald of Ruin
    • Marionette
    • Narcissist
    • Panic Zealot
    • Rhythm of the Seasons
    • Song of Solitude
    • Suspended Soliloquy
    • The Incomprehensible
    • Third Wish
    • Tremorcaller
    • Overdrive
    And overhauls of:
    • Grimtrap
    • Wanderer's Purpose
You can request weapons either here or on Discord (@Rythew). Please check the Modrinth page (which features all of the currently released weapons) before requesting a weapon. To be honest, I'm not expecting too many requests because no one uses anything but a Mythic these days, which is kind of sad.

Sorry for no new models this progress post but I promise it will be well worth the wait!

That's all for now. Take care.

Hey! I love the pack, wonderful work! I noticed that your resource pack no longer works with the newest Wynncraft Wardrobe Wonders update, is there any way for it to be fixed? Thank you :)

Version -2.2.1- :: The Spire, Pt. II - HOTFIX #1
bro that literally took ages, are you sure it isn't coldfix #1?
This is what happens when the pack entirely breaks when Wynn updates but you don't want to roll out an update with no new models. This post is gonna double as a weekly progress update too.

    Changelog:
    • Added Thrundacrack
    • Added Immolation
    • Added Divzer
    • Culled many unseen faces from Apotheosis
You'd think I'd have more to show for myself than 3 models, but these were all kinda made over the course of 9 days (Thrundacrack took a week).

    Gallery + Yap:

    Thrundacrack
    thrundacrack.gif
The raw aspect of thunder, though claimed to be harnessed by a mage in a wand, has only been truly tamed by this mighty blade. Combined electric and life-draining magic intertwine and bring forth the truest, most frightening power of all Thunder.
Epic things look even more epic in the rain. I think the same applies for this, moreso when the animation plays.
I really like the default Thunder Spear III model so the spearhead was basically ripped from that in my own style. The pinkish silver palette was taken from the Fatal model because their lores reference each other, so I thought it would be neat to tie them together a bit more. I think the lightning palettes are also shared (or the Thrundacrack one just expands on it), but I'm not gonna check because I need to yap about the other weapons too.

    Immolation
    immolation.gif
The act of self-immolation is never taken lightly, and is always a sacrifice. This idol was carved to honor one such instance, in which a master of flame burned through his life force in a final act of heroism—purging an encroaching army of the undead, saving the people of the jungle from destruction.
Those sunflowers at the back came together really well, and I'm kinda regretful that you don't see them much when you're holding it.
The weapon (you can't see the anims because Blockbench player doesn't respect pauses) doesn't look very fiery, but with the animation there's a bit (you can download the pack to see it in action!)
The whole image of 'some statue whose head is replaced by flowers and is cradling someone else's head' was 'inspired' by a frame from the second OP for the 86 anime. You should watch it.

    Divzer
    divzer.gif
Unruly magics of void and darkness are tamed within this bow's string. While those energies are never to be released, arrows fired from it fire at such blinding speeds so as to phase out of existence when they hit their target.
If you're thinking that it's rather high-definition, that's because it sort of is.
It's 5 metres (blocks) long. Pretty big, even longer than Anvil Crawler, making it the longest weapon in the pack.
I wasn't intending it to be so long, it just kinda happened.
Oh right, the model. I really like the palette I made for this! I took part of the Apotheosis palette and extended it out into the sand green palette of the bottom limb. I also managed to make a very subtle but really easy to use black to blue palette, which I think looks sehr gut.
The weird spikes at the back-end kinda areas of the bow were inspired by the Eye, most noticeable at the top with the orange palette. This weapon's probably the Mythic whose lore is closest to the Eye, because like unruly void, dark... it kinda works.
The whole think looks more Dernic as opposed to Void-ic, which I like, plus I don't really get to do much Dernic stuff so making this was cool.
    ...
    There's nothing here.
    ...
Maybe something will show up later.
    ...
    Maybe not.
    ...
    .

    A note on Prioritised Models:
I've been really bad at prioritising them. Sorry. But it turns out that every Mythic has been 'prioritised' now, so I'm just gonna keep working on them until they're done. It often happens that I go to make a Mythic, and even when I have the concept written down, it just doesn't come together well. So then I leave it and work on something else. That's what happened for the longest time with Immolation and Divzer (the latter of which has an almost complete model in the prunes folder but I chose to scrap it because I didn't like it). So please have patience, thanks.

That's all for this update. I'm gonna head immediately back to modelling because whenever I take a break I find it's really hard to get back into the groove. The next update will hopefully be a reasonable size.

Take care and, once again, thank you so much for all the support,
    //Rythew

    Weekly Progress Update!

    Hi Hi,

I'm on time! As per usual, I have 3 new models to show off, 2 overhauls: Hadal and Grimtrap, 1 original: Grandmother! Let's go.

    Hadal
    hadal2.gif
"Carved from unknown parts of a sea creature unseen, the goliath scales of this effigy of the deep bring forth...a pull. A weight, a pressure. A terrible, crushing depth brought onto the holder, blanketing them like nostalgia. Their owner watches, part of itself acutely aware of its missing pieces."
I knew I had been outdone the moment the Fiery Bonfire crates came out and I saw the new Abyssal weapons skins. While I don't believe I have outdone the CT who made the Abyssal weapons, I gave this model my best shot, and I'm pleased with how it turned out.
The theme behind this one was more like it was just a shred of flesh from a much bigger beast, as opposed to the lobster-esque claw it was before. I think it fits the lore a bit better, as it makes the beast it came from much more terrifying.
If you're thinking those are weird colours, then you're probably right. See below.
    beanbig.png
    His name is Bean's Bigscale.
No, that's not a joke - his name is literally Bean's Bigscale.

    scalyfootsnail.png
These are called Scaly-Foot Gastropods. What's interesting about these is that their shell is made of iron-sulphides - literally iron armour, which is badass. I tried to use their sclerites (the weird almost feather-like scales) as inspiration for the back of the model (the other side of Hadal's shell) but they kinda just came out like tentacles. That probably works better, but I was kind of bummed that I didn't get to use more of this weird creature's anatomy.
Those pikes and tendrils are emissive, and the latter are animated, but Blockbench doesn't know what to do with this information.
    hadal.gif
As always, the old models will be in the assets/minecraft/prunes folder if you prefer them to the new ones.

    Grimtrap
    grimtrap2.gif
"Found at the site of the Caritat Mansion, this simple-looking glove is bathed in dark presence. It wracks those who wear it with pain, and instills the belief that the only way to end the pain is not to remove the item, but to inflict that same torment upon all others."
I wasn't really a fan of the old model from the moment I made it. I put it in 2.2 because someone had requested the model, so I didn't want to add to my backlog, but obviously that didn't really matter because I'm overhauling it already.
I feel like this one's a lot more expressive, and I'm a much bigger fan of the colours. It's bleached, mossy, tattered, and really gives off that feeling of being abandoned and decayed, I think.
There is an animation which is kinda like parts of the fabric at the back of the glove being ripped out (that's a bit too expressive language, it's not that violent or cool), but as usual, the pauses aren't shown in Blockbench.
I added the fleur-de-lis (a French? heraldic symbol) because I kind of wanted to elude to some head-canon or possibility of the Caritats having something to do with that 'bring back the monarchy' faction that was mentioned in Hollow Serenity. One of the best quests in the game, so I decided to pay tribute to it here, which is probably the most thematic place I could. Not like you'll see it in first-person, unfortunately.
    grimtrap.gif

    Grandmother
    grandmother.gif
"The very first crossbow in existence was claimed to be utterly indestructible, but it is only true to a fault. The item cannot be broken, but solely because all damage to it is instead reflected onto the user. As its age is uncountably ancient, wielders will find themselves rapidly aging and withering away with even a mere touch."
While certainly not the most complex model, I think it's one of the most researched models I've ever made. I spent a lot of time trying to make it as realistic as possible, not necessarily artstyle-wise , but in terms of the mechanics.

I first found out that one of the earliest crossbows was the Gastraphetes, basically a bow mounted to a plank of wood, with a slight arch at the end (so without the bow it would look a bit like a T or Y). The user would stick the bow-side into the ground, and pull on the string, using their abdomen to push back against the body of the bow with the slight arch piece.
A slightly later rendition of the crossbow gave up the arch piece of the Gastraphetes for the stirrup in the front of the crossbow, which the user would stick their foot through in order to keep the crossbow fixed to the ground instead. This is the version I decided to go with because I thought the silhouette looked a bit better.

Unlike every other crossbow I've made, this one features no handle. Instead, crossbows like this one are handled more like a rifle than a pistol or other such firearm. So instead of the row of knuckles of your trigger hand being perpendicular to the main crossbow body, it is more or less parallel. I think it gives the handle a nicer silhouette, even if, from most angles, you don't see it.

Next, I decided to make the wood of the entire thing petrified, to show its sheer age. Fossilisation occurs when wood or other organic matter is quickly buried under a decent bit of mud or sediment. If water (carrying minerals) seeps through the sediment, it my also seep into the cavities left behind by decaying matter. The water then seeps deeper into the ground, leaving behind its minerals in place of the now-decayed organic matter. The colour of fossils is mostly determined by the minerals of the water. In this model, I went for a yellowish-white kind of colour, which suggests silica and low amounts of iron.

Amber is formed by the slow heating, under pressure, of buried tree resin. To survive for long enough to become amber, it needs to avoid exposure to almost everything that could cause the resin to decay: water, sunlight, microorganisms, over-extreme temperatures, etc, or be resistant to them (varies per species). Resin is most commonly found near a tree's knots or injuries, so here I placed the amber near a joint, which would have produced resin had the crossbow been made of living wood (which, in head-canon, it was).

We will ignore the fact that stone doesn't bend at all, so mechanically, you wouldn't be able to use this fossil as a crossbow.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk. No, but seriously though, if you do actually take the time to read these comments, I really appreciate you! I think it's really cool to read the processes others take when making art, so I hope if you're like me, you find these helpful and/or just interesting to read!

A very tall and slim black blue-tinted bow, about 3m long. It has a side profile like a semicircle, but the handle creates a straight line between the curves. There are three parts of the limbs that look like a circular bite has been taken from it. Occasionally, a rune (of either #@, )&&, or ?% (each rune has its own place)) appears in one of these places briefly before almost instantly exploding in an explosion of rune-coloured light. Make the explosion cubes crossed like grass so they are visible from any angle.

I'm considering joining the CT as a modeler or something texture-based. I'd quite like to finish this project first though. Or maybe not.

That's all for now. Take care, and I'll have some more models next week.

    Weekly Progress Update!

    Hi Hi,

I kindly ask for your reluctance to burn me at the stake this week. Why? Because I only have 1 model to show off: Az.

    Az
    az.gif
"Mysterious runes, held by inexplicable ancient guardians, were once moulded together for study purposes. The experiment went awry, as the runic words Nii, Az, and Ek were combined in a reaction that resulted in the collapse of a civilization."
This is one of my favourite models I have ever made...and I gave it to Az ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NO ONE'S GONNA USE IT :dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:
No joke the lore of Az is really good.
It's not exactly what I intended to have in the teaser of last week's post, but it's certainly still close.
The animations aren't constant, it's more like a chain reaction that starts off with Nii at the bottom, then Az, then finally ending with Ek at the top, before a long pause.
I especially love how the Az rune animation at the middle came out, it looks so good!!
Not really a fan of how the reflections of the runes' activations on the bowstring came out, but I've been wanting to try my hand at simulating real-time reflections for a while now, so I'm glad I tried.

I got nothing. Sorry. If you have any ideas for what to do for Warp, I'd love to hear them! I've tried cracking a Warp out but I'm out of ideas.
    failwarp.png failwarp2.png failwarp3.png
1: Was kinda hopeful of it until I started texturing it. It kinda just feels like a Fabled weapon.
2: The weird star thing at the top is similar to the Az model's Az explosion (or I guess Implosion). The white was trying to be some sort of cloth, and the dark orange at the bottom some sort of canisters for squirmle residue. You don't know what squirmle residue is? :nerd: Well Gawrick is playing with it as a means for stabilising Flux [1]. The cloth could also be drenched in Nimbuseeker Rain [1].
    1."Fallen Delivery", Wynncraft Wiki, s.v. Stage 5, accessed September 1, 2025, https://wynncraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Fallen_Delivery#Stage_5. I have no clue
3: It was supposed to be more mechanical, with the weird core in the middle supposed to be like a gauge, with the crystal at the top having an animation which showed it at many places all at once. I think it's a good concept, just kinda eh execution.

That's (regrettably) all for now! Take care,

literally citing a source. again your dedication to this project blows my mind
    I HAVE AN IDEA

okay okay you know those black holes balls, like the ones from Gawrick's ultimate in Blizzard Brawl. Make one of those and put it at the top of the staff. The wand itself should twist. A lot. Three dimensionally. Cracks and chips are along it, coursing with unstable energy. It's a prototype and it should feel like one. Lastly, the color palette from the first model would go with it.

i just thought of this on the spot so it might not be that good

    Hi Hi!

One new model because guh.. Apocalypse!

    Apocalypse
    apocalypse.gif
"To forge a weapon such as this from the cursed lava of the portal basin requires dozens, for each smith would lose themselves to the force of corruption before it is finished. The nightmarishly hooked blade serves no purpose but destruction, as intended."
The Fallen Glaive cosmetic design was obviously the main inspiration for this.
I like the colours I got for it, I think the pinkish hue on the metal spearheads works quite well.
The chain-like stave was derived from the lore, where it mentions needing dozens of blacksmiths. I interpreted that as each of them makes a single part before succumbing to corruption, and they are linked together to form the full weapon.
Think the animation came out quite well. A brief flash of fire as apocalypse follows.
EDIT: I wrote this yap when I was uninspired. I have a few more things to yap on about.
First, I am very happy with the shape of the blade. I have struggled for a while making stuff so organic, but I think this is hands down my best looking blade. I think it flows so nice, and those jagged bits were orginally a mistake but I liked how they looked so I added more and I feel like the design improved from them.
I ripped the dark red and the base of the metal palette from the Anni weapons. It fits and I still really like those two palettes.
I got bored modelling the bottom blade so I just kinda made it broken.
Also as a side note, I really need to work on making my weapons smaller. You can't make an item model longer than 48 pixels in any direction, but you can scale stuff up, so I've been using that method a lot lately. It's so freeing but I always overstep how big I originally plan for weapons to be, so they become absolutely mahoosive, as is the case for Divzer and most of my recent models. It's just much easier to add more detail to bigger models.

    Nada.
I think I'll forget about Warp's existence for now, but thanks Elytry, I now have a few more ideas.

    Mythics Down: 38
    Mythics Remaining: 6
Stratiformis (Will likely be the next target)
    Warp (guh)
    Pure (I have vague ideas)
    Guardian (I have no ideas)
Sunstar (I had ideas before I realised I can't execute them)
    Aftershock (I have ideas)
    Mythics Avoided (Inferno): 1
