Mixed Feelings Quest Not Working?

I've gotten up to the part where I have to survive one minute and the wiki says a countdown will start and mobs will spawn. However, no countdown begins and only one corkian spawns at a time (which gives a lot of xp for some reason)? It appears some people have also have had this problem; I've tried /class, /kill, relogging and honestly I'm stumped :/ what should I do
