Scared of copyright

Hello Wynncraft community! I particularly seek help from the mods for this question. But first, a bit of background (sorry if it gets too long lol).

I used to write Wynncraft AU fanfiction. I didn't even post them and do not intend to do so, I just wanted to have fun and keep the stuff private. One day though, one of these fanfictions got 'out of hand'; I started writing and writing, developed the plot and characters, and it's now become a fully-fledged novel with 100k+ words (maybe they'll be between 130k and 140k in the end, still haven't finished my first draft). The genre is mystery/detective with a bit of buildingsroman, political and lightly romance elements, all in a steampunk setting with a sprinkle of fantasy elements. And, uhm, I would like to publish and sell the novel when I'm done.

It's not really a Wynncraft fanfiction anymore but maybe not an entirely original book either, it's an awkward spot between the two, so awkward that here I am trying to explain (sorry again if the post ends up being too long :crying:). The best word that I can find to describe how the Wynncraft universe ties in with my novel is a 'cakebase'. I took the fantasy world as a starter but then allowed myself to do whatever modification I wanted to, putting in my own ideas for plot and characters.
For example: in my novel there are the three provinces of Wynn, Gavel and Corkus, with the first two being medieval fantasy and the latter (where like 80%+ of the novel takes place) being a steampunk-land with all that sort of stuff. But there is no magic system, there is no electromagic, there is no mention to any of the races of Wynncraft like villagers, orcs, doguns etc. (only exception are the Avos, but I'll come back to that later), there is almost no mention of the main events of the Wynncraft lore (no SE, no Corruption, no Decay, no War of the Realms; only exceptions are some stuff in Corkus like the Factory but still I have heavily changed the story behind that, it's just inspired, not the same). Basically take the Wynncraft lore, save some ideas here and there, and throw all the rest in the trash. There are almost no plot points taken from the canon of Wynncraft in my novel. Most similar thing are the descriptions of some places, but, again, I think they are more on the 'inspired' side of things than 'copied'. Oh, and I forgot to mention, my novel is, on the other hand, heavily tied in with the irl world.
Another example regarding the characters. I have taken the names of inspiration from a bunch of Wynncraft characters (most notably Maxie and Ava) but their backstory and personality is entirely my own, with just some elements that are taken from Wynncraft.

Back on the Avos for a sec, as I mentioned before. The Avos are the only element of my novel that probably is more toward the 'certain copyright issue' side. Even if, again, I've changed it to be my own, their backstory is the most similar one to Wynncraft, but mainly the idea of a bird-people called the Avos seems very rip-off-y to me. If it is truly needed, I'll change them from actual bird-people to, like, a bird-god worshipping tribe made of humans.

Except from that, I'm honestly quite reluctant about changing anything else, both about the plot and about the names of characters and places (my characters have grown with those names and it'd sound and feel weird to me to change them).
Also, my novel is full of inspiration and references to other pieces of culture (maths and science, movies, music, literature, history) and I will mention the most important pieces of inspiration in the afterword, including Wynncraft of course, independently from the replies I get to this thread.

Well, I believe that's all I had to say, please ask me for clarification if needed; I can provide a list of all the names and other elements that I've taken from Wynncraft and so could cause an issue. I hope I get permission to simply publish my novel without undergoing weird bureaucracy stuff, I'm just a humble 17 y/o who wants to have fun. Look, I'm writing in Italian (my native language) and I don't even think this project will go as far as selling more than 150 copies, maybe 200 if I'm lucky, so I don't even think it will ever get translated in english or another language. (If then it ends up blowing up, well, good for me then, but that's just in my dreams I guess)

nah but seriously, i dont know the copyright laws, but im sure you can work out something with a CT manager if you are worried.

The fanfics or the novel? Because if the fanfics there is no shot I'm posting them (if you want explaination ask), as for the novel you either gotta hope for its success or learn italian lmao
