    Did they remove gather xp tomes from the game? I have seen people mention them, but I cannot see them in the raid rewards. Can someone please help? I have tried googling, but did not find anything.

    Yes. These are meant to be added back in as rewards for content completion (i.e. completing caves or quests or whatever else in your book) instead of doing raids. It has not been implemented yet unfortunately, so you just get less gathering xp.
