Art my lari design ^_^

tried to make a personal lari design ^_^
( edited the arms a bit, thought the hue change would look nicer )

 

design is fire but why her head so small, her boot is bigger than her whole head

and maybe i trip, but her body proportions look very masculine

 

I mean if you've been around for thousands of years and the Plague Doc with all his juicing concoctions lives next door... the Post-Dullahan gym arc might go crazy.

I really like the art direction and design with the cool fabric folds but the boot to head ratio kinda breaks my brain. Really good art though, wayyy better than any shit I could make, keep up the good work .

 

I love it !! sorry for the artist rant but i need to compliment the hands and clothing folds because theyre ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I like how you kept the blue gem too!

Epic design, I really like the color scheme you gave to her. The gold really compliment the blue really well.

 

while i admit i made the body a bit too long in terms of how many heads tall it should be ( mainly due to my shitty understanding of perspective haha ) the proportions looking "masculine" is weird to comment on. aside from the broad shoulders — which is intentional, i wanted to give her that detail coz i thought it'd be cute — her clothes are loose and drapey, and thus her form isn't as clear. still, i wouldn't call it "very masculine" i'll keep it a buck.

for what it's worth, her body type is not uncommon for women to have irl, and making her waist tighter would just not fit with the physique i had in mind >_>

i don't wanna sound preachy, but i suggest you open your mind a bit more regarding the body, considering how many aspects there are that affect its shape outside gender and sex.

oh, no, im totally open to it, i was just commenting. comparing the sketch, can definitely see what you meant by drapey robes

 

I mean he has a point on weird proportions but if anything that's about it

oh yeah totally, i agree. i went and measured it again and saw that it was a fuck-up on my end lol xP added like an extra head or so.

just felt like it was important to clarify details regarding her body type being "masculine" fwiw

this is a very interesting Lari design

color palette a first glance could seem flat, but you showed very nice work on contrasting the colors in their respected assigned positions on the clothing and such
I also really love the simplicity of the clothing, but with those cool colors they make the gold and crystal pop out in a very nice way.

The only thing ill say about the anatomy is that I feel like its in service of the clothing, like, its that way to show more emphasis on the clothes, and tbh it's a rather cool outcome.
tbh its irrelevant whether the anatomy is masculine for the character, and the whole discussion abt it kinda silly. Whats interesting of this Lari iteration is that it's a cool take on the character and a valid one. Again, color palette is brilliant, clothes simple but used in fun ways with the looping and the crossing..
