Mushroom Man Quest Broken?

I just restarted with a new character and I've gotten to the mushroom man quest. Currently, I am at the part where I need to slay the mushroom stealing spiders, but no matter how many of the spiders I kill, the quest isn't updating. I tried relogging, tracking and untracking the quest, talking to everyone again, but nothing is working. Can anyone help me on what I'm doing wrong?

 

Same thing happened to me today, stuck on having to slay spiders, according to some old fandom wiki entry the quest is supposed to continue after killing 12 of the mushroom stealer spiders, but by now i have killed over 50 with nothing happening, and yahya is nowhere to be found to talk to again. talking to Tasim results in him repeating the same two lines of dialouge about wondering what he has gotten us into. I have also completed the world event at that location (hovering text mentioning to do that to clear out the spiders) with no changes to the quest.

Did you find a way to resolve the issue? My friend has the same problem.

 

I'm having the same issue! I did the event 5 times, still Yahya only tell me the same 2 lines, and the quest book tell me to go kill those spiders (again..)

 

My friend also encountered this same bug! Stuck in the loop where Yahya repeats himself an no matter how many times we fight in that mini world event he doesn't get the next quest step.

 

My Friend had the same issue. It never worked when we tried it together, but it did work when we split the party and they did the fighting part, while not being in the party.

 

friend of mine has the same and also now everytime he does the event Yahya and Tasim disappear

 

Hey guys, my partner had a similar issue, and we managed to solve this. However, ours stems from the PARTY SYSTEM.

What occurred is that my partner died during our attempt at the world event. This resulted in me progressing in the quest while they were permanently stuck.

To solve this, remove the affected person(s) from the party then have them solo the quest. It should update now. Do NOTE that when u rejoin the party, the affected member might have their quest skip forward to the latest quest.

At least, that was what happened on our end.

 

The problem for me is i was the one who died not anyone in my party
