    Hi everyone,

I was invited to the server by a friend and started playing ~2 days ago. I've created my first account, and I've chosen to play the Shaman (Skyseer) with an Acolyte build. I like both the Acolyte and Ritualist skills, but wanted to try out a full Acolyte build.

I'm a very laid-back, casual player who prefers to take things at my own pace. I'm also a completionist*, and I enjoy unlocking achievements. I'm not particularly skilled, but I do enjoy taking on challenges.

As I'm new, I would appreciate a few tips on the best way to progress. I did have a quick look through the website for information.

I'm also really interested in the Professions:
    - Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining
    - Scribing, Woodworking, Jewelling [I love the idea of Scrolls!]
I'm not sure how they work, how to obtain them or if there's a limit on the number I can have.

Outside of Minecraft, I have a lot going on, so I'd only be online occasionally.

    To answer, mine is Capricorn!
BONUS: My Chinese Zodiac animal sign is the Tiger
Feel free to answer these, too!

*Completionist - I have a preference towards achieving 100% in areas before I move onto the next area in games. Otherwise, towards achieving 100% completion in games. DISCLAIMER: This does not transfer over into real-life situations, unfortunately. - Unless you count taking tests/exams... I had to train myself to skip questions that were taking too long to answer because I wanted to answer those questions before moving onto the next question, even though they weren't worth many marks xD I'm also sad if I get anything less than 100% on tests (which means I was sad a lot!).

Welcome, soldier! Glad to have you in our ranks!
I'm glad you agree with the use of blood magic. Some people aren't quite as... open to it.

    Yeee, thank you!

I was looking for a support character to play initially (because I like support roles) - specifically one that had a bit of a challenging learning curve which are usually support characters which support their teams with buffs and debuffs and that led me to look at the Shaman - but then the Acolyte caught by eye even though the Ritualist build was closest to what I was looking for. The concept seems so interesting and fun!

Welcome to our ranks, young recruit! Another shaman, hm? Interesting path you have chosen, but certainly not a bad one!

Though I understand your desire to finish one thing before starting another... let me warn you my friend, if you wish to include professions in these effort, you will soon find that you repeat the same task over and over, for hours. Most people do not find this rewards, and may ruin their fun on the adventure. So I'd recommend you taking them on once you finish the other things you have ahead of you... like discovering the world.

Either way, enjoy your adventures! And if you need help with something, I'll be here by the Ragni gates. I'd love to stretch my old bones again.
