Guild Dead Guilds

I'll cut to the chase, I think my guild is cursed.
The guild I'm in is "The League of Noobs". It was established two years ago, and to my knowledge, everyone in it joined on the same day.

Now, dead guilds aren't exactly uncommon, but I'm making this thread for a reason; Since the day the guild was created, no one in it has joined for two years... I think you can see where this is going.

The entirety of the league joined one day, and disappeared the same. Leaving only 2/6 of the noobs in the league to have joined even in just the past year. The other "active" player being the owner, GoFre99.
GoFre99, the owner of the league, was last online five months ago. Additionally, the guild data on its page in the "Stats" section has also corrupted itself, leaving me in inexistence, apparently. And thus, the league, aside from its guild page, has seemed to just delete itself, with no trace of its existence aside from the inactive members!

So, I've come to the forums to ask, is this just like, a thing? Does this just happen? And if it isn't just some weird coincidence, does anyone know what might've happened? Because this seems like a really unusual occurrence.

 

Hi, (former) owner of a Dead Guild here! Le Legion Noire [LLN] lasted since 2014 technically, but with only me and two others who would hop on maybe once a year. It seems the system doesn't really understand how to process a guild with no active updates or sporadic ones at best. Ours similarly corrupted, but we disbanded the guild almost a year ago, so it's hard to remember if it was corrupted like that for any long period of time or if it just corrupted when I viewed it after changing my username (that alone has caused some errors elsewhere). Sorry if this wasn't much help, but best of luck to you and your next adventuring party!

Especially name changes, those are notorious

 

I owned 2 guilds, and they both became dead. First, I had WereALegend [Doan] (deleted guild) which I was the owner from 2022 to 2025. It was so active in 2022, but after I returned the guild was really dead. I invited new players, but they just were inactive too. I ended up transfering ownership, leaving, and it got disbanded later. Then I started on the 30th of August 2025 a new guild called The Milky Empire [TMLK]. There were so many great things about this guild, the activities, how many people were there, the fun, but it took a turn when school started. All of a sudden, all the guild members went inactive, including me and then many more players started to leave like ZulfikarTR (Past Captain), Franetx (3rd biggest contributor in the past) and HeavenlyCheese_ (1st member). Then, today (12 October 2025), I cleaned up the guild, gave myself the goodies, demoted mostly everyone, kicked inactive members, transfered ownership again and left.
