Hello, Wynncraft!

Greetings! You may call me Daryl. I use she/her pronouns.

I've been playing Minecraft on and off since 2013, when one of my friends introduced me to the game and it captured my heart immediately. However, I've always played single-player, until 2023 when I joined my first survival multi-player server, a small and semi-private one of an online community I belong to.

On the other hand, I've been watching Hermitcraft since 2019, during Season 6; the first Hermit I watched was Grian, who I followed throughout his first season on Hermitcraft. (However, I haven't heard of Grian before this.) It's through Grian that I learned about Wynncraft.

I have little experience with MMORPGs: my only experiences beforehand was with RuneScape, both versions, which I joined only earlier this year.

Last weekend, though, I was in the mood to play Minecraft again, but wanted something a little different. Hence, out of curiosity, I joined Wynncraft. After figuring out my lag issues, I found myself enjoying the game, and I began looking forward to playing this again.

Hey Daryl, welcome to Wynncraft! I'm a relatively recent starter myself!

If you enjoyed RuneScape (As i do, RS3 Maxed going for Comp cape!), you’ll probably feel right at home with Wynn’s questing style and lore-heavy vibe. And trust me, it only gets better the deeper you go—Wynn has some seriously cool worldbuilding and plot twists later on. Just don't fall down the Detlas Item Identifier pit of hoarding!.

Here are a few starter tips that helped me a ton:

️ 1. Do the quests early.
Seriously, they're not just XP dumps—some give gear, emeralds, and great lore bits. They’re also way more fun than grinding mobs.

⚔️ 2. Don’t stress the “meta” too early.
Play what feels good. You’ll have plenty of time to worry about builds later.

3. Use your bank wisely.
You’ll hoard junk. It’s inevitable. But keep a tidy stash—save legendaries, scrolls. (Also i use Account bank an awful lot as you can buy the pages with Emeralds)!

4. Get comfy with your ability tree.
I’m playing Arcanist Mage, and the moment I actually read what my spells did... it changed everything !

5. The Wynn Discord is great for quick help.
But if you’re more forum-inclined like me, feel free to ping—always happy to help out fellow adventurers.

6. "/Partyfinder"
Oh! Don’t be afraid to try out /partyfinder either. I’ve met a bunch of awesome people through it in the short time I’ve been here—it’s a great way to team up for mob grinds or just have someone else around to chat rubbish with its awesome!

Oh hey, we're both playing Mages. I think I might go for an Arca-bender build because I like ending fights fast and recovering health even faster.

Haha, it's funny you warn against hoarding... (I look nervously at my growing collection of uniques, rares, and legendaries.)

Welcome to our glorious province soldier! Glad you made it all the way here, you'd be surprised how many don't. Are the tunnels still infested with undead? I heard some rumors, but can't say they're too trustworthy.

Since you are new here, let me give you a small piece of advice and an offer. First, look around the world. There is so, so much in it! You just have to go out of your way at times. Places where the foot of man has not stepped for centuries, graves not visited in decades, views you would die for... it is all there. And second, if you need help with anything, find me here at the gate, I'd love to stretch my old bones again, see some action!

Exploration has always been my favorite aspect of Minecraft, so here in Wynncraft, I had so much fun taking breaks from quests to check out the different nooks and crannies of the world. I once stumbled upon a certain tunnel where a legendary hero was born, and it was a memorable experience.

(I may have also tried to reach Troms by scaling the mountains...obviously, that method didn't work.)

I often return to Ragni, so perhaps I'll take you up on that offer someday. I hope to see you around!

 

Going through the mountains must've been quite a heroic attempt, even if it failed. And a fun one!
By the way, if you want a different mountain to scale, but with a possible success, look to the southeast of Ternaves. Somewhere in there lies a small gap. Find it and claim your reward.

 

Sorry for the late reply: I got distracted doing other things in Wynncraft! Anyway, I finally remembered to check out the location you mentioned, and while I don't think I've found the reward yet, I did find some interesting sights!

Oh, you have certainly reaped the fruits of your labor. One has to wonder who were they, and who wrote that. Perhaps there is a story, maybe one of heroism, maybe of tragedy, lost to time. Those who knew are long dead now, and all we are left with is this.

There is more places like these scattered around. It takes effort to find them, but if you appreciated this... I believe you might have the will to embark on the adventure.

 

Sorry I'm late! They pulled me in to train some recruits last month. But welcome, soldier! Glad to see you in our ranks! We need all the help we can get, at the rate the Corruption is spreading, plus the growing influence of Dern and its beast. But that's a story for another day.
