    PRESENTING: WYNNCRAFT: TO AN END

    Hello!
This is the fourth installment in Wynncraft: To An End, a series within Hunted mode where I rework the quests and interactions, but some are darker than others…
    ---
The To An End quests will trigger upon activating Hunted mode when creating a new character. They give the player a chance to see what the entire game would be like if they fought for the dark side, but they can still fight the darkness as they do.

This post is the rework of the Poisoning the Pest quest, with the name remaining the same. A more significant portion of the darkness that is present in To An End will show up here.

(I highly recommend you read post #1, #2, and #3 before reading this, just to get a better understanding of mechanics and the feel of these quests. Linked here:

To An End - Mechanic update and mini spoiler
*To make it slightly clearer from the last episode, when a battle is initiated between Light and Dark, the challenger, and the challenged, must fight. Others on the server can choose not to, but the original battle will still happen no matter what.
*Every being is either on the side of the Light or on the side of the Darkness. That is, every being except three. There are three individuals who were either lucky enough, clever enough, or strong enough to escape making the choice.
    *These individuals are:
Yahya, Drale, and Dullahan. They will each have a new major quest (or more) associated with them individually, occurring at levels 31, 67, and 92, respectively. There will also be a quest that tells the history of these three souls together: their past, their present, and their future.

    ---
Some forms of notation I will be using:
Normal text used to describe what is occurring in the quest
    Important Stuff
    Name: Text used for dialogue
*In Game Text, not dialogue, that has to be read*
-Notes about functions of various things or quest stage instructions-

Poisoning the Pest - The pests of society are egotists. (Level 4 quest)

Farmer Cevalus needs your help dealing with his overly controlling grandfather.

    Farmer Cevalus:
-Do you ever feel like you are trapped, [Playername]?
-You want to do one thing, but are forced into another?
-Well, nice to meet you. I’m the scenario I just described.
-My father is a pest. He bugs me about every detail of every action, never lets me run where I want, and forces me to farm his ‘award winning farm’ all day.
-Please go and tell him I’ve had enough.

-Go talk to Cevalus’ father, Douglas, in the hut-

    Douglas:
    -Why hello there, young recruit.
    -What brings you here today?
    -...
    -Ah, I see.
-In my view, I just gave him a bit of life advice.
-But it looks like it made him throw a tantrum.
-Is it even worth trying with my meager strength?
-Please go tell him I have his best interests at heart.

    -Go talk to Farmer Cevalus-

    Farmer Cevalus:
    -That lying parasite.
-He is truly evil and needs to be taken care of.
-I don’t care what he told you, he’s wicked.
-Here, take this [Crate of Rat Poison] and slip it into his drink

    -Poison Douglas’ Drink-

The player will have to go around to the back of the hut, open the door on the porch, and dump the poison into his mug.
A cutscene will begin, in which the farmer drinks it, then begins to change. He will start bleeding from his legs, then the blood will start running up his body, covering him until he roughly has the appearance of the Corrupt Farmer in the original quest. He will then run, shrieking, out into the farm and start destroying the crops.

    Farmer Cevalus:
    -Come over here.
-I must thank you. Another servant is not always easy to get, but you did great.
-Don’t worry about him. He has way more power now, and maybe he can finally teach his son a lesson, when he wakes back up.
-Now, let’s test your power a little bit.

    -Fight Farmer Cevalus?-

The fight will not be hard, about the same difficulty as the Corrupt Farmer fight, except scaled to lvl 4.
Once the fight ends, the farmer will have a large cut across his arm.

    Farmer Cevalus?:
    -Thank you.
-That was very nice, and I expect you will grow quite powerful soon.
-Anyway, I must leave this body now.

The farmer will spin in a rapid circle multiple times, a small explosion will occur, then the farmer looks around in distress.

    Farmer Cevalus:
    -Who are you?
    -Who was in my mind?
    -Why am I bleeding?
-I need to find my father!
The farmer will then sprint off into the field. A large explosion can be seen occuring in the middle of the farm after a moment, and then the quest ends.
    -------

    Quest Notes:
*At this point, the player has no clue who was inhabiting the body of Farmer Cevalus. This will be revealed later, after at least one more controlled citizen is encountered.

    General Notes:
*Sorry for the long wait. Life takes effort.
*The next installment of To An End will hopefully come out soon. Lots of mechanics in the next one.
*Got big plans for Dullahan, Drale, and Yahya. :)

    Appreciate any and all thoughts!
    Thank you for reading!

love how a mushroom-obsessed maniac, a woc, and the headless horseman himself (not in wynn but my point stands) are the only people to have escaped the existential war of dark and light

    great job, very cool!
