Assassin/Ninja Help Is it a skill issue or a build issue?

I am level 103. For some reason I'm quite weak I've seen people that can destroy 1 mill health but for some reason It would take me 20-30 mins I've focused my build on a mana heavy build: Third Eye / Quilted Carapace / Ophiuchus / Riverflow / Bob's Mythic Daggers / Photon / Acid / Double Vision / Royal Stormy Amulet



Is poison too powerfull, am I bad at the game, or is my build trash. I'm too poor to buy any mythics so no mythics, and NO morph build, thanks :3 also I need a meta build lol. I haven't updated my weapon / bracelet / necklace / rings in a while. I've narrowed the weapon down to three options, "Animosity", "Petulance", and "Viridian. Which one?

The issue is the build, no question. The hp is decent but the damage is nonexistent.
I just put in random nonsense for the ability tree, but I threw it into wynnbuilder and honestly I'd be surprised if you could kill anything....

Your first order of business is to get a better dagger. Level 103 with level 75 dagger just isn't going to work.

I'd probably go with the Petulance, both for its poison and its mana steal. That said, you will definitely need to do some work to get your health regen into the positives.

The Animosity reduces mana regen pretty significantly, and being that it's super slow, you're going to need spells.
The Viridian does more damage than the Petulance, but the health regen penalty is greater, there is no mana steal, and it increases the cost of both dash and spin attack.

 

It depends on what kind of build you're trying to make! There are a bunch of different types of builds, and in order to understand which weapon you should use, you need to determine what the build is trying to do. There are a handful of different types of builds if you want to deal damage:

1. Poison. This is probably the weakest option, but also the easiest to use. If you want to make a poison build, then you'll need to have a bunch of different poison items, not just the weapon:

You'll notice that this has a level 95 weapon, and a bunch of armours that are below level 100 (like Delirium, which is level 87). Just because an item is the highest level doesn't necessarily mean it's the best! Petulance, for instance, is a higher level than Forest Aconite, but because Petulance has -40 Defence, Forest Aconite is the better choice here (plus, it has more poison).

2. Main Attack. You've probably noticed by now the difference between Main Attacks and Spells. Usually, builds are only good at dealing damage with one of them or the other. Builds that use Main Attack as their main source of damage are easier to use than ones that rely on Spells for their damage. Here are two options for Main Attack Builds:

This is Fast Melee: it has a SUPER_FAST attack speed, so you'll have to be clicking constantly, but you deal decent damage.

This is Heavy Melee: it has a SUPER_SLOW attack speed, but deals massive damage using the ability QUAKE, which you can use by Shift + Left Clicking once the powder bar on the item is charged up.
(This one probably deals more damage, between the two.)

This is an option for a Spell build, which might be the most interesting to play but also the most complicated. Tag me if you have any questions :)

 

I like how even your fairly standard, vanilla builds still feel super sketch because of your signature when they're actually perfectly normal.
