Hello fellow lootrunners, this post is to help new players understand some of the more advanced strategies but also for more experienced players to learn.

this guide expect you to already have some prior knowledge about lootrunning, such as what beacons and missions do etc.

first and foremost, who am I?, I’m someone with over 500 hours in the game and 90% of what I do is lootrunning, by experimenting with different classes, builds, strategies etc, I think I can finally say that I’ve mastered lootrunning so now I’m here to share what I know. If there is anything you don’t agree with, please tell me so I can adjust the thread.

    Let’s get started!

There are multiple different camps where you can lootrun at. Where you lootrun doesn’t really matter however, I do mainly lootrun in Lutho so most of the examples that I use with be from my experiences from lootrunning there.

Classes: For classes, the two current best classes to lootrun on are Warrior and/or mage. If you’re really trying to get into lootrunning I recommend getting one of these classes to lvl 105

Currently, there are 3 different strategies for lootrunning, sacrifice runs, Materialism/Hoarder runs, and 100 reroll runs. Mat/hoard and sac runs are the two that right now at least are the best and net you around the same profit (lootrunning is however very rng based).

The early game strategy is nearly always the same.
1-4 priority order: Rainbow, orange, aqua/blue, red, green, yellow
    4-8: Gray(if you have rainbow), rainbow, Aqua-white (for +32 challenges), blue/orange, red(if needed),

At this point the different types of runs differ a little with how they handle the beacon priority after 8. But we can talk about that later, let’s explain how to do sac runs and mat/hoard runs.

    Sacrifice runs:
For these types of runs, your build doesn’t really matter as long as you can survive the early parts of the run. These runs don’t go on past 42 (not worth it). The runs focus on “end reward sacrifices” where you build the pulls to whatever you want but usually people stop anywhere between 150-250. for these runs you won’t need Cleansing greed or equilibrium as they aren’t necessary. Focus on getting end reward sacrifices first. Mission priority order: Ultimate sacrifice, redemption, safety seeker, equilibrium, warmth devourer(kills your run fast, take as 3rd or 4th mission). The general rule here is to focus on sacrifices, then pulls, then rerolls.

After you’ve built up the pulls for a while you’ll do the last run, or the so called reroll run. It’s recommended to do this run as the first one of the day for the +1 reroll. I won’t mention the mission priority list but gambling beast is the best by far and if paired with stasis. You can get over 15 rerolls. Otherwise just get whatever gives the most amount of rerolls like high roller or ult sac etc.

    Hoarder/Materialism runs:
For these types of runs it is nearly required to have a discoverer as you aren’t focused on the end reward chest but instead the flying yellow ones. When these two missions (hoarder and materialism)are paired together and you have a rainbow beacon you can expect to get anywhere from 0-3 mythics per run depending on how good the boons you get are (around 2 boons per mission). Cleaning ritual is also good as it makes the run a lot easier (doesn’t force you to red green spam). And orphions grace will are be amazing here as it buffs all the boons by 50% (including lq and lb).

Hoarder/Materialism runs should nearly always go on for 100 challenges. If you don’t get mat, cr or hoarder as first mission, reset and start again. you’ll stack lq and lb as the run goes and get 2 flying yellow every challenge which is where your praying for the mythics.

That’s it for the basic stuff. I could make a more in depth guide but it’s currently 4am and I need to sleep
