I have been thinking about something from that old “moral ambiguity doesn’t work in Wynn” thread from a couple months ago. An idea suggested there was that we could have two quests, in the light forest and dark forest, and the light one would be “good” but railroaded and kinda unfun (with limits) and the “bad” dark one would be really fun and have lots of options and choices. I am typing on my phone so in a week I will be able to write down my full idea but I want input on what you guys think. I want this to be a community project.

A lot of the issue comes from a misunderstanding on the original poster's behalf, that there is meant to be "moral ambiguity" with light and dark. Morals just don't apply to them, just as they wouldn't to other similar lovecraftian entities, which is a concept they didn't grasp.
If you want to come up with ideas, don't focus on the idea that they're morally grey, because they aren't. Focus on them being amoral, just as a wild animal acting only out of a desire for survival and instinct is.

Isn’t this just a general suggestion with more feedback?

No, it’s an opportunity for y’all to give ideas. I have a full idea in mind already, but I’m bad at phone typing. Deusphage has already given good feedback, and I am adapting my ideas

maybe have them work on top of each other. ie you do one quest first and you do x thing in the quest (doesnt have to be the whole quest) like idk killing someone, in this case maybe an "evil person" (bandit)
and then in the second quest you do the exact same thing for the exact same ultimate purpose (like idk rn) but this time its a good person (like a person that helped you after oyur were injured)

just something in that direction if its understandable

You mean like in one quest you just kill the bad guy, and in the other quest you have to follow the HEROES DONT KILL and it takes so much longer? That would be funny, but both the Light and the Dark will kill
