    Progress Update!

    Hi Hi!

    OK, so as promised I have got an Epoch, 2 whole Reliks (Fantasia and Hadal) and a revamped Nirvana for you guys today!

    This one did not turn out how I expected it to.
    I think it's cool, but doesn't match my original vision, so I might remake it. Unless you all like it, in which case I'll keep it.
    > I'm thinking of making it a crossbow, with a tapestry of some cataclysm, if you think that sounds like a better concept.
    Anyway with that being said I do like the way the spirals came out.

    Fantasia

    I really liked the criss-cross pattern of the cosmetic Driftwood Relik, and felt like it was a good place to start with 'the Weave'.
    Gotta say, the new Mythic lores from 2.0 are kinda cool.
    The idea of 'The Weave' let me to a lyre, which gave this model a classical Greek twist, inspired by the pediment gable of building like the Pantheon.
    The blues and 'the Weave' are supposed to feel cosmic, due to the item lore.

    Hadal

    How spooky.
    Modelled after a lobster claw. I first tried with a fin, but couldn't convey it well, so then I tried just a slab of scaled meat (which turned out similarly),
    before I went back to the drawing board and made this.
    Sea angel is emissive.
    I think I might add a blinking eye/pulsating pore (like an octopus') somewhere to make it slightly more mysterious.
    I like the way the blues came out, it contrasts well with the skull and barnacles.

    Nirvana (Revamped)

    There wasn't anything particularly bad about the old model, it was just a bit boring imo.
    The old palette had many colours, some of which were very similar, which didn't help.
    Anyways I think it captures the meaning behind the item lore a bit better (the blade isn't translucent but it is emissive (better))

    Anyways that's all for now. Imma go revise now. Constructive criticism, suggestions and feedback are always welcome!

    he's so inconsistent - one post he takes a month on the next he takes just over a week on. smh. smh so hard my head starts to explode. and something crawls out - I feel that. can you feel that? The burning inside? Something has made itself at home. Time to tuck away the parts of you it has no need for, to shuffle your little brain around so you may Carry. Carry and Spread. Give it a new home—melting you down is how it says thank you. Be grateful, won't you?

    Next Time: Toxoplasmosis & (hopefully) The Spears (or at least one of them)

    these aren't fableds or legendaries but you should definitely do models for the depressing weapons

    Progress Update!

    Hi Hi,

    Today I have Toxoplasmosis, Archangel, and Singularity to show you.

    Ok, look. It's kinda hard to make a model for a weapon:
    1) whose name is based off a disease caught by handling cat fecal matter
    2) whose lore has almost no ties to an actual weapon or object - instead a disease.
    So in the end, I decided to base it moreso off of what would happen if someone else caught the disease.
    So you are wielding what remains of a pitiful soul's body. I hope you're fine with that.
    Just so that you're not wacking enemies with a weak bone-flesh amalgam, I added more bone to the base.
    The crystals also help with the alien nature of the Toxic Wastes.
    I tried to make a centipede crawling across the ribs and back inside the chest, but due to the small pixel resolution, I was unable to.

    Archangel

    This is probably one of the best models I've ever made tbh. I finally made a dripping anim that looks like fluid dripping.
    First, it's a sickle, so I immediately though of having some sort of farm vibe to it.
    Then, you garner attention from it, as if you had become a god, which made me think of you beating a god to become one; hence the blood.
    I also included a small angel wing embellishment to solidify the god imagery.
    The blood spilling onto the crop is also kinda cool imo.

    Singularity

    This one came together super easily. While I struggled with Archangel's sickle for a while, and Toxo's concept, I had no trouble with this one.
    That probably means it incidentally came out looking more generic; with less personality than others.
    I'm super grateful that Mojang allows us to use cubes with negative lengths to create outlines like this.
    There's not too much to write home about for this one - the lore was straightforward and super descriptive, which made the concept easily come together.

    But Rythew! why no spears you promised them!!?? Spear lore does not go hard so trying to convert it into a model concept is kinda challenging. There will be at least 1 spear next time, I promise that much. (Also Archangel is technically a spear model)

    That's all for now. I had a burst of inspiration so that's why you all got another progress update so soon.

    This is probably going to be the average size of most major (2.x) updates from now on. Due to the increase in quality standards, each model is taking 2+ hours, so in any given month I am producing fewer models. However, I think the quality is absolutely worth it.

    Version -2.1.1- :: The Hidden Fortress, Pt.I
    HOTFIX #1

    Introducing three new Mythic models, a patch for Shiny Mythics, and a small tweak to a Fabled wand.

    • All Mythic models will now work on their Shiny variants.
      • I'm planning to have custom models for Shiny versions, but for now, regular Mythics will share their models with their Shiny counterparts.

    I worked on this one on and off because I couldn't get my original concept to work.
    Originally, there was not gonna be any of the oxidised copper, but I decided it was necessary as the soul blue (which was there previously) made it look like a water weapon and also overpowered the dark vibe of the weapon.
    The handle grip and red flames are bc of the Forbidden Prison link in the lore.

    I tried to go for something grandiose for this one. I really like how the peacock feathers came out, and feel like this is one of the best models in the pack.
    Not much to say for this one, it largely speaks for itself.

    Yeah, I took some creative liberties when it came to my interpretation because its lore is rather weak. Lero who?
    The animation took some time to get right, but I like how it ended up.

    First Hotfix!! I was only recently made aware of the Shiny Mythic problem recently, so this just a fix for that. The 3 new Mythics are temptation to download the pack.

    Also if this version runs significantly worse, please let me know. For me, it works fine, but my machine is moderately beefy. I say this because I rewrote all of the Mythics' CIT (Custom Item Texture) files with new regex in order to allow them to apply to Shiny Mythics as well, while not applying to items containing their name (e.g: Isaz, Azotar, Azimuth using (a future) Az model). If you look at my regex and you can simplify it, I would greatly appreciate if you could help me refine it (thanks in advance).

    Hi Hi!

    Three more Mythics: Idol, Absolution, and an overhauled Nullification!

    I decided to go for a less totemic design for the spear, in a bid to make it more streamlined, which was a justified and common criticism of the rendition in F&L 1.
    I did still incorporate some aquatic symbolism, such as the fins at the bottom and just below the trident head, but I still wanted to keep it subtle.
    In the end, I think it turned out pretty well, though I think it could look more weathered to fit the lore better.

    Absolution

    After about three failed attempts, I finally come up with something I'm happy with. it's not perfect, and I certainly think ProbsWinter did a better job with the weapon (https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/mythos_/gallery).
    I had a hard time deciding what to do for the weapon, but I felt like adding some banner flailing in the wind was a good place to start.
    I don't have much to say about this weapon. If i think of a better concept, I'll probably repurpose this for something else.

    Nullification

    The previous model wasn't too bad, but I didn't like the gold palette I used, and also the blade just felt too skinny.
    I was already planning to change Nullification, but the new buff that was announced recently was what compelled me to overhaul it.
    I kept the handle grip design from the old model because i don't plan on using it anywhere else, polished it up, and gave it a new coat of paint.
    I like the way the golden crest came out, it definitely give the weapon a bit more personality.
    And the old animation was super basic, so I added the elemental pulsing to the end of the weapon, giving each element its own animation. You can't see the water animation because of the GIF but trust me it's there.
    Super pleased with the way this one ended up.

    Next Time: "The whole ordeal was super nerve-wracking and DEPRESSING. That MONSTER scared the living daylight out of me after it wiped out my entire legion, which I'd been a part of for years, but luckily I had enough resolve to survive and I WEATHERED the storm."

    I wish I could make Idol more like a totem pole, but I tried doing that with the previous version of the pack, and many people said it was too chunky. the pack is 16x so I don't really have the room to add too intricate details, unfortunately, but I feel like I made do with what I had!
    Since when was Labyrinth CotL themed? It's from Annihilation, which is on the other side of the world, so it doesn't really make much sense, but if there is a reason I'd love to hear it.
    The Handheld Mortar's the first model I made for F&L 2, so it's not very well detailed and it's, of course, inaccurate. I'll get round to updating it eventually.
    I completely missed the fact that Farcor was the thing carved on Quetzalcoatl. I won't change it bc I like the model as it is, but I'll keep that in mind if I do decide to overhaul/rework it.

    It's always been CotL themed. The only one of the 5 that's meant to be related to Annihilation is Bloodbath, the rest are tied to other things, hence their notable lack of corruption in any of their item descriptions.
