Tool Tool WynnPedia - the pocket guide | Early dev. stage [WIP]

Hello everyone,
After a few months of inactivity on my WynnPedia Desktop App Guide project, I’m excited to announce that I’m back on track!

While I had to prioritize other important projects, WynnPedia is now my primary project focus.


Quick TL;DR:

What is WynnPedia?
- A desktop app designed for the Wynncraft community, featuring well-known tools like player stats, leaderboards, game maps, community content, and custom utilities.

Why this project?
My main goal is to sharpen my app development skills while contributing something useful to the community I’ve been a part of for over 7 years.



Current State: Early Development Stage

Major Improvements Since Last Update:

Visual Overhaul:
- Redesigned visuals to reflect a unique and polished design style.
- Dynamic Data Rendering:
- The Home Page now dynamically displays real-time statistics for searched players. Placeholder data has been replaced with functional components.
- Enhanced Guild Activity Checker:
- Search for any Wynncraft guild and filter inactive players based on a specified number of inactive days.


Future Plans:

Ongoing Development:
- Continue refining WynnPedia and expanding its features, as time allows.
Asset Updates:
- Currently using official Wynncraft assets (primarily images), with a request submitted for approval.
- Planning to replace these with custom icon sets in future production stages.

- Progress on main page with player statistics.
- Now finished expandable sections for player rankings

- Option to open every single character's specific informations.
- Tab function similar to web browsers allowing to open more player profiles at same time.
- Only the main one (searched in the left corner will be remembered)

- Hello everyone, progress on character information display for specific characters has been made. Similar function currently working in official Wynncraft's stats.
- You'll be able to open details for every single of your characters.

Hey, thank you for the feedback.

I would love to see ppl use it for real.

As mentioned, my priority is to practice and build so I have more built up portfolio.

However, the idea/fact that it might be useful to someone is something, what keep me "fueled" to keep going.

Also, if you would have idea for some custom tool, you can try to suggest. For example, the tab function wouldn't be edit without feedback since I had no plan to add that. But I love it how it turned out.
What I was thinking is to add option to have 2 tabs side by side (as in usual web browser), but I have no clue how to implement it and for now, I would rather focus on to add more content. But maybe, in the future update I'll do it.

I don't have any idea what exactly do you mean.

If you would be be able to provide more detailed description or picture for example.

 

I don’t remember this exactly but do you mean being able to link stats in the forums signature (forums signature is a custom thing you can have appear when you message)

Unfortunately, I don't know about any API which will provide data about custom forum signitures.

new update is comming this week, but might be delayed due to incomming holidays.

Still looking for any constructive feedback and ideas.

- Labels for guild stats (total and online players, guild territories)
