Are macros allowed in Wynncraft?

    This might seem like a silly thing to ask, but I remember hearing somebody mention something about macros being aloud in Wynncraft, and I want to double check.

    It is incredibly silly, considering the forum has a post specifically on the rules, which lists all the rules of Wynncraft, and is incredibly easy to find within seconds.
    But for your benefit, here is the relevant rule.

    2. Macros

    Macros are only allowed to be used to input a single 3-click spell command at a time or to automate chat commands such as the party system. Macros that loop or are designed to do anything else are not allowed as it gives you an unfair advantage. However, macros that loop melee attacks by keeping a mouse/keyboard button pressed down are allowed.

    Very unsatisfying to use tbh
    Hitting the spell cast combos makes me feel like I’m actually like
    Signing the runes to cast a spell, Magicka 2 style
    Macros just feel like I’m pushing a button with bad latency

    it's annoying that all the new end-game challenges are designed for players using the meta and macros
    removing macros fixes that problem for the most part

    ... Ok but this is just completely untrue? Why are you spreading misinformation? When I design stuff I am not using meta builds and I am not using wynntils or macros. None of the new endgame content has been designed for players using macros-- and most balance playtesting isn't done with meta builds. I don't know why you chose to say this.

    (yeah actually new bossfights are balanced. and solar vanguard is still good. and so is oceanic judge)

    The problem is when you give a raw stat buff to a fight that doesn't need it (Qira, Gale, LI). Bosses that were already hard before 2.1 getting extra health and damage without any improvements to telegraphs and clutter. (Qira lacks significant enough telegraphs to actually avoid her damage, and the minions cause a significant amount of clutter. They also prevent you from getting near her.) Gale STILL casts arrow storm (beatable simply because she is designed for lower level players), and Virus Doctor has buffed minions and is STILL burst ranged.
    When I said "designed", that was a poor choice of words.
    What I meant is, giving raw stat buffs to old and hard bosses so that they're still beatable (Were Qira, Gale, Mummyboard, and Virus Doctor tested?), but only barely makes it feel like the change was designed for the top 1%: people who have large guilds, meta builds, mythics, and macros. Unironically, people meeting all those requirements seem opposed to nerfing the bossfights anyway.
    This has gone way off topic

    In summary, macros probably shouldn't be allowed because they give a direct advantage (if going faster than a skilled player) and can remove spell casting skill (if going as fast as skilled player, used by unskilled players).

    If 3-click spell command macros are such an issue for fairness in the game, then why not just add them as a baseline feature? You can put them in a settings tab somewhere, in order to let people choose between this classic style of casting and this more intuitive style of single-key casting.

    Minecraft limitations. Most keys can't be used as keybinds without mods.
