Can't see Lost Souls (of their particles)

Hey, new player trying to get into the game and ive just been having some trouble with the current event. Ive gotten the coords/locations and traveled to them (dont have the game knowledge the solve the riddles myself as of yet) and noticed there was nothing to be found (specifically under the tree) no particles, nothing. I have talked to the Guide, and he seems quite displeased that I keep chatting despite not recovering the soul for him lmao. Essentially, I dont know how to resolve this issue, and if anyone has any tips let me know.

things to know/tried so far;
logged out multiple times, including closing client
have talked to guide and recieved the hint/riddle
have ALL particles on

The spirits stop rendering a lot for some reason, especially when you fast travel. Does clicking around at the coordinates it’s supposed to be at still work or no? (it might take quite a bit of clicking around)
