Is it only drawings? No other forms of art like animations or models? I ask because the blizzard and hallowynn fiasco also had issues with this where drawings always won all the prizes until the AI thing happened for blizzard that put some other art form to take its place.

 

technically they are allowed, we've had 3D renders in community hosted art contests, so I don't see why a 3D model of a character couldn't. Animation feels a little different since it takes more time and skill to pull off, so I'm not so sure about that.

 

Sounds good. I was thinking more in the lines of IRL stuff since I know a couple of people have done those types of art before.

 

oh IRL stuff is totally fine, we've had IRL submissions too, even for this year's bonfire contest

Does the art have to be anything specific? Or can it be anything?

 

physically or digitally created art (2D or 3D) regarding the theme of the contest, so something related to the festival of the spirits. otherwise yeah, anything. can be a short comic, single illustration, things like that are fine

 

My question is, should I not post the completed illustrations on other social networking sites until the awards are announced?
Or is there any problem if I post it before the deadline?
