Lost stat points by equipping accessories

I just recently started playing and I'm level 27. I got new items that I discovered but the 2 that did something were the buster bracer and a water ring when I equipped both it took both off and I lost some of my stat points. My stats went from str;25, dex;11, int;11, def;16,agil;11 to str 15, and the rest were level 9 but I have no stat points to use so I'm just confused about what happened.

 

items can give skillpoints
if you take them off, you lose those
