What exactly is a Void Hole?

They seem to have the following properties:

• Ambulatory (in TNA)
  
• Stationary (otherwise)
• Basically portals; can connect Void and regular world, or regular world to regular world, or void to void
• Nonexistent
• Can be opened and shut (despite being absences of space)
• Do not exist outside of Void Valley (specifically the result of Greg eating things)
• Capable of launching attacks

Seems like a lot of properties for an absence of space to have.

 

They do exist outside of Void Valley though. There's two in the toxic wastes, and as you said there are a lot in TNA, so maybe we can assume there are more in Dern also, since TNA is in dern.

 

They are in some kind of realm in between worlds , or “void archipelago” different from fallen islands in ahms void area”

 

IIRC it is confirmed in the raid "dialogue" and by ct that it is in dern. Correct me if I'm wrong but I am 99% sure there was a short discussion about whether the raid dialogue confirms that it is in dern or not, and it was said by ct (maybe lex?) that you can infer that TNA is in dern

 

It’s not a portal but that’s the easiest way to think about it so I think about it as a portal

Okay, I got that wrong.

Lexnt and Mad explicitly confirmed to me that void holes are specifically something TNA makes.

I also recall a diagram of the Blueshift Archipelago being in the void, on the side of PoI but not actually in Dern, but that was probably from a ridiculous conversation that was veering heavily into headcanon and I'm not sure if it's canonical. I don't think it's confirmed that the Archipelago is in Dern, although it's obviously closely affiliated.

- if the RoD has alien laws of physics but the RoL does not (or has laws of physics that are closer to the main world's) then RoL is being defined as closer to humans and therefore more 'good' from our perspective in that, even though it's fundamentally amoral, its actions are more likely to be in our favor than those of the dark -

- so please give me alien physics of equivalent degree from the RoL, i would love to hear it

 

naw it's confirmed. it was said by ct and the raid dialogue also suggests so.

and RoL has like, weird geometry and fractals and all that. like the boss in the gather room of nol, the one that got a new model. it's this weird almagamation of shapes that would definitely not be possible to create normally. plus, deus said she wants to make rol creatures more fucked up so hopefully we will see more of that, and get more evidence that the light is also pretty weird

Its outright stated by multiple sources in game

It's heavily implied by the game ("beyond void" being the cheekiest), but it has been outright confirmed as being part of the Realm of Darkness. Just as the rubble of the ahms region below the sky islands is part of the physical plane, just at the fringes of reality, the Archipelago is on the fringes of that other reality.

I mean given that there are floating islands and obelisks in the RoL, we can at least visually see something is up.
