Yeah I just felt like making some Lootrun Beacon ideas, mainly for the funny. I am aware adding more Beacon types could break the flow of the gameplay, so all of these are just for fun. Enjoy!

At first I wanted to make them in-game in the chat like the base ones, but I couldn't find how the wynn devs made them centered. If any of them passes here, I wouldn't mind knowing :3

Khaki Beacon: Choose 1 Common Beacon effect, +1 Curse
Note: Common Beacons are Beacons with average effects like Blue Beacon, Green Beacon, ect.

Cyan Beacon: +1 guaranteed Rare Beacon for 2 challenges
Note: Rare Beacons are Beacons with more impactful effects, like White Beacon, Dark Gray Beacon, ect.

Navy Beacon: +1 guaranteed Vibrant Beacon for 15 challenges

Pink Beacon: +1 Beacon Reroll, +1 Challenge

Dark Green Beacon: +1 End Rewards Reroll, Time divided by 2
Note: Can only be taken once.

Crimson Beacon: +1 End Reward Sacrifice, -2 Beacon choices for 15 challenges
Note: Can only be taken once.

Black Beacon: Up to 5 currently-offered beacons won't appear for 10 challenges
Notes: Its effect includes itself. Effect multipliers affect the number of affected challenges, not the number of banned Beacons.

Gold Beacon: Chests can be opened twice but no End Rewards Pull gain for 5 challenges

Monochrome Beacon: Double End Reward Pull gain but double Time ticking for 5 Challenges

Brown Beacon: Choose a Challenge location to give a Fading Beacon to for 1 Challenge
Note: Won't appear if you hit the maximum amount of taken Fading Beacons.

Beacon variant: Fading Beacon: When a Fading Beacon's challenge is completed, this challenge location is removed from the pool for the rest of the Lootrun. Only a limited amount of Fading Beacons can be taken in a Lootrun. In-game, the Beacon's beam periodically fades away and comes back.
    Wooohooo, makin' Beacons!

I like the idea of the black and pink beacons.

Black probably wouldn't work very well with current lootruns, but if more beacons got added I think it could be a pretty interesting mechanic.

Pink is cool because beacon rerolls can be valuable, but not valuable enough to justify taking a mission to get more, so adding them to a new beacon would make them more usable. I don't even think it needs to give an extra challenge, just the reroll.

Khaki is just kind of boring, you already get mostly common beacon choices, so this is unnecessary.

Cyan would probably be too strong, it can be too much control over beacon choices.

Navy is just extremely bad rainbow while also reducing the chance for rainbow by virtue of being in the beacon pool.

Dark Green and Crimson are way too strong to be beacon options, sacs and rerolls should be exclusive to missions.

Gold is weird to me, I don't really feel like buffing materialism/chests is necessary, at least not with a beacon choice.

Monochrome feels both weak and strong at the same time, but it would probably just make it more annoying to be useful due to beacon bloat. The downside is also pretty insignificant.

Brown and Fading are just bad, there should definitely not be an option to remove certain challenges because that's part of the balance of a lootrun. Some challenges are harder than others, which means that you shouldn't pick only based on the beacon color.

Beacon choices and getting lucky enough to have control over what beacons are offered is the worst part of current lootruns imo, so black and pink seem like possibly cool ways to mitigate this.

cyan wouldn't work well, rare beacons are very limited in count (white & dark grey are 1 each, grey is 3 and you can only get it after missions) so it would generate basically only rainbows

most of these look like missions to me, i suggest the following conversions:

khaki -> a mission with the result of "when completing a common beacon, get the effects of every common beacon"/"when completing a common beacon, get 2 random common beacon effects instead"

dark green -> a mission with the result of "gain a reroll but -1 beacon choice for 15 challenges"

crimson -> "gain 1 end reward sacrifice, lose half of your time"

    gold -> the same

    monochrome -> the same

black -> a mission that gives you a one-time-only button to permanently delete every beacon type currently offered to you

brown -> "fading glory: after every challenge, that challenge location is permanently removed from the pool. gain +1 [[or +2, idk]] end reward pull for each challenge you take, and +1 end reward sacrifice [[or +2 rerolls]] if you run out of beacon locations [[by fading every challenge]]"

This idea came with the fact that this post also adds lots of other new beacons so this was taken into consideration yeah.

The idea behind this one is that this would be a Common Beacon that you can easily stack while Rainbow would be Rare, but yeah I see the problem, but tbh Rainbow is pretty busted already so eh xd.

I tried balancing them by giving them harsh downside, guess that wasn't enough then. I did take effect multipliers into consideration, but again it wasn't enough.

I haven't seen many people go for run chests instead of end pull or short runs, so that was my idea in trying to give this way of playing more diversity.

Same mindset as above, giving end pull runs more diversity.

Please let me banish Shackles of the Past :weary:. Joke aside, you are not wrong, this idea would require big balancing of the challenges, ideally I would like Brown and Fading Beacons to be more on the risky sides of things, but again, this would require balancing stuff more.

Same as Black Beacon, this idea came with the fact that this post also adds lots of other new rare beacons (dark green, crimson, gold, ect) so this was taken into consideration yeah.

To be honest, almost all of these ideas were created as a way to bring missions-exclusive stuff (beacon rerolls, end rewards rerolls and sacrifices, ect) into the beacon pool so that's a pretty logic conclusion to arrive to lol. Also, lots of your conversions right now are already-existing mission rewards but better or worse xd. I do like your Fading Glory one tho.

Thanks a lot for the feedback you two :3
