Gauging Interest in a Wynncraft Fan Comic

Howdy all!

So, a friend and I have plans to start making a Wynncraft fan comic, following a couple of characters as they go through the in-game storyline. While we will give the protagonist characters their own arcs and backgrounds, we will do our best to keep them compliant with the world and character of Wynncraft. Outside of that, we plan to keep the comic as close to the original storyline as possible.

This project will NOT, at any point, be monetized in any way, shape, or form. Wynncraft has helped both of us in our personal lives, and we want to give back to the community.

However, before we get started, we wanted to first reach out to community to gauge interest and seek the blessing of the Wynncraft staff. Wynncraft means a lot to this community and the people behind it, and we want to make sure we do right by you all.

Please let us know your thoughts!

EDIT (Oct 14, 2024) :Alrighty! We've launched our first update on Webtoon Canvas and ComicFury. We're looking at Tapas, but it's being a bit of a pain. Since I joined Forums so recently it doesn't want to let me post links, but the comic is under the title "Arcana Umbra". I did successfully post the links in the Wynncraft Discord though, under the "Your Work" area :D

 

Absolutely go with it! It is always great to get new stories of our fellow soldiers!

I don't think the command will officially acknowledge or bless, but they certainly won't have anything against it.

Sweet! Okay, we'll get right to work on it. We'll probably post on a few different sites once it's in full swing. Since we're new to the forums, where do you recommend we announce it once we've got our first update?

It is very good, waiting for more! The art is great, character designs as well, and that boulder being huge is hilarious :D

Glad you're liking it! Updates are on the 14th and 28th of every month right now. We've already got most of the next one ready to roll ;D
