Announcement Wynncraft is looking for developers!

Hello everyone! Wynncraft is looking for new developers to grow its dev team!

What is a developer at Wynncraft?
Other games and servers sometimes have a different definition of what a developer is. At Wynncraft, a dev is a software engineer working directly in the codebase. They usually create systems and tools, and touch basically everything that makes the game run.

Currently, we’re particularly interested in a dev to help expand existing systems, such as the Ability Tree, Items, Lootruns, Raids, and more. Having good knowledge of Wynncraft and experience with these systems is important. However, don’t let that stop you if you think you’d be a good fit!

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with Java, Minecraft and Minecraft Servers/Spigot. MongoDB, Redis, Docker/Kubernetes and gRPC are nice bonuses.
• Proven experience with releasing projects
• Willingness to learn and adapt. The game dev team is incredibly small (2 people currently) so you'll often have to wear many hats.
  
• Self-driven, able to work remotely and full of ideas on how to improve Wynncraft
• Capable of understanding gameplay concepts made by designers and making them reality
• Knowledge of Wynncraft and its gameplay systems
• Able to work consistently 20h per week or so (But we’re very flexible when it comes to that)
• 18+ years old

Other than the chance to work on one of the biggest and most highly-regarded server, we offer extremely flexible work hours, competitive pay, a motivated and talented team to work with and a lot of creative freedom.

You won’t be micromanaged at Wynncraft, but at the same time there is an expectation that you can get stuff done by yourself, and get it done well. The hierarchy is relatively flat and free-form. It’s important you understand that, because this environment doesn’t always work with everyone.
