Music (fanmade) Sky Islands spelunk theme

A while back I made a Sky Islands lootrun spelunk theme for fun, and when 2.1 added the new instruments I decided to remake that song with the new soundfont. So here it is.
And I know that there is already a spelunk theme for sky. This was made for FUN (before the official themes even came out) and is not intended to compete with the current theme or anything like that.
Anyway, here's the song:

I love the use of leitmotifs here. I can make out the Sky Islands theme, but I'm also hearing a couple from the Silent Expanse for some reason...

 

crazy good, I think the fact that it sounds so similar to something they'd actually put out is just a testament to how good you are at what you do.

 

Interesting, where did you hear it? I didn't include any from SE songs, maybe it just sounds similar accidentally.

akshually the sky islands lootrunning themes (intentional or not) sound very similar to the silent expanse anyway, with the void and all i think it fits

I haven't lootran Sky Islands much, so I don't really remember what their themes sound like, but Elysium said that this is a remix of a song he made before the Sky Islands Expedition got spelunking music anyway.

 

I heard similarities to some Silent Expanse music at 0:09 - 0:15 and 0:28 - 0:35

However, I can't for the life of me remember the exact song/s from SE it sounds similar to...

 

Ah, I think those are just accidental similarities because the chords/notes might be the same/similar. I can kinda hear it too but it definitely wasn't intentional haha
