SPOILER We know a little bit more about the Dernic Beast now

In rekindkled world, annihilation has begun to slaughter several soldiers as they make attempts to prevent its wrath, however, those who manage to hold back and endure this threat may find themselves rewarded with a new, deceptive item, the Corrupted Cache.

Ignoring the rewards that come from this cache, there's something we can spot during the opening animation before we get our mythic reward (said animation also being ultra amazing [except when you get bloodbath]), and that is how corrupted spikes form around the cache from the interaction of light and darkness.

And here is where we see the new way in which wynn appropiates a magic system, Sigils, you may be familiar with the following image if you are an annihilation enthusiast



This right here is a sigil, but a sigil meant to represent what? in the corrupted cache holds the answer, as its animation depicts a yellow sigil and a purple sigil



But amidst the coolness of the animation, the observant ones will see that the yellow sigil is the exact same one located in the side of orphion, the light beast



This must mean the sigil is meant to represent light/light influence, and we can deduce that the red sigil must be either unique to annihilation as a beast, or a sigil meant to represent all of corruption, as he does also utilize it to summon corrupt demons, but additionally, since the corrupted cache's opening animation displays corruption emerging from the interaction of light and darkness, and since the yellow sigil is on oprhion.



That can only mean the purple sigil is meant to represent darkness/dark influence, and it must also mean this sigil will be part of the design of the dark beast, and with this we know a little more about what we are up against in dern!

 

I think the corruption sigil is actually a combination of both the light and dark sigils! Both the side swirls on the corruption sigil are the light sigils, and the little tree looking thing in the middle of the corruption sigil seems to be two dark sigils mirrored and then placed on top of eachother. Interesting stuff!

The orphion sigil looks a little like a G in Gavellian. Or I am an idiot, alternatively.

Also the other one looks to me like a wynnic character but it isn't apparently.
