How to survive in 1.21?

Now especially with the new teleport scroll mechanics in 1.21, are there any ways for one to get out of dangerous situations (especially where you can't just leave, for example bosses)? Like if I was doing a HICH run, even with second chance, if something is just too dangerous is there any way to leave? Also, can yall add powders in the new update (the powder master isnt working for me)

 

what is 1.21??? what?? There was never a 1.21 update. it went from 1.20 to 2.0, and then from 2.0 to 2.1.

Run, movement spells.

Can't really escape this scenario unless you manage to scroll out

I recommend playing hardcore characters after you know what enemies and bosses do and how to deal with them. Its very much a 2nd playthrough thing, like Steel Soul from Hollow Knight. Some enemies a great deal more dangerous, and you may need to scout out areas in advance on a class without any death penalties

 

Did anything change with the new teleport scroll mechanics? You have to stand still for a few seconds, but that shouldn’t affect anything because the only scenario where u can’t do that is if ur in combat, and you couldn’t use tp scrolls with enemies nearby in 2.0 either

also when it comes to getting out of dangerous situations, best thing is just using movement spells to try to get far enough away so ur safe. If that’s not possible, then it’s more a matter of trying to stay away from stuff like that so you don’t end up in those kind of situations (like knowing which bosses would be too strong for your current level and waiting to fight them until later)
