my honest thoughts & opinions on the MCC event + a short intro

hey guys, you probably don’t recognize me. my name is downloadableduck, same with my minecraft username. i was on another forum until i got falsely banned. ive never played wynncraft, but i needed somewhere to forum, and i heard this was a good place to do it. i won’t be posting in wynncraft general discussion, as i am not really part of the community; but i will be making some posts in the minecraft section and any other areas that do not involve wynncraft. now, let’s get into the actual content: the MCC event.

Overall Rating: 4/10
this is simply just a BAD event. the games are sort of fun, i guess, but the cosmetics are lame, and the event is trash.

so, you start in spawn. there are these random notifications. you have to figure out a bit of stuff, lie, where to get the ‘hats’ for the tasks. it took a while for me to figure out, and maybe i’m just stupid, but the only reason i figured it out at all was because of the random notification.

so, you might be thinking, ‘oh well, i can just ask for help, right?’

NOPE! Chat is disabled. you can’t ask for help. this is ironic because one of the npcs modeled after famous youtubers, says that they like it because it is a team game. and i find the single most important thing about being part of a team- is GOOD COMMUNICATION.

well. your skin will at least look nice after the event with all the cosmetics you got, right?

uh, no. you have to use the default skins.

now, back to the hats. none of them are even free, meaning you have to play the game-to actually be able to get the hats for the tasks, you need to play even more.

all in all, this took me about 3 hours to get the cape. if you have the time, i would suggest getting it, since the cape does look decent, but if you want to actually have fun, just play on an actual good server, or play the event without trying to get the tasks.

I had fun completing it and the cosmetics also look amaizing

...what are you talking about? i can wear the hats and cape just fine on a character creator skin

i personally had a ton of issues while queueing for the team games, a lot of the time it would just lie that I was about to start a game. and the grid runners missions incentivised people to not help with half of the stages, which must have been annoying for anyone actually trying to do good in it. i did really enjoy the sands of time game, though.

personally i did take a second look at the cosmetics, and they do seem half-decent, but the games just seemed kind of repetitive

yeah, that is extremely annoying. the team games took to long to queue definitely.
also, thanks for the info, i generally use my skin file from java edition

 

It was a goated event

 

i rate it a 10/10 because it gave me the only free cape that looks good on my minecraft skin

 

yeah, the cape looks good, and i understand not having a cape that looks good with your skin, so ggs on getting one like that. personally, i like mojang making more capes, but i think they need to be slightly less grindy in my opinion.

 

I wouldn't say it was a bad event, to me it was at least somewhat enjoyable. Some of the tasks however were a bit iffy.

In the end though, I did have a decent time (and a short time at that) getting the cape. What really got me however was the secret hunt. Some of those drawings I would NEVER get without looking up a guide.

This I agree with, but it's just par for the course with sponsored servers. Especially OFFICIAL ones.
