My Trial By Fire with Learning Acrobat

I have a short story to tell about how I learned Acrobat the fast and hard way.

I had an Archer and Shaman both in Llevigar, and my level 40 Assassin was the closest Class to Nesaak, home to the Pillaged Fragments and projectile purgatory for any soldier that dared to traverse it.

So because I had to log out in half an hour at that point, Assassin it was, if I was to get the Pillaged Fragments I needed for another set of Stealing Jewelry. They weren't the worst off, thankfully having 10/3s Mana Steal and some Mana Regen I can't recall, but with my faith in HP/Mana Steal, this was basically a suicide mission for the Smoke-Bomber that happened to have Lacerate.

I take a short 2-minute test run over to the valley, and almost die because of the extreme damage from the ranged enemies. Smoke Bombs didn't reach them in time, and took too long to chip them to death. On the second try, I literally throw myself at the ranged enemies in a deranged, headfirst manner...

...And then Blinding Powder kicked in.

I don't remember much of what happened next, frankly. A Headless Horseman supposedly saw me come to grips with a new, brutally intended strategy of leaping into enemies, blinding them, and Multihitting monsters left and right. Spells and smoke blanketed the entire cavern - what were the Restless Armours to do in the face of such overwhelming power?

By word of mouth, he was later mocked at an underworld bar for getting his back end so badly kicked by an unprepared amateur, twice, in the same hour. (How do I know this? Necromancers make strong messengers.)

...I went back to Nesaak, and questioned what the hell just happened to me in that time. How did Assassin, second weakest Class, perform so well at something it was so incredibly underleveled for?

The moral of the story is: Blinding Powder is actually good, and the fact that you can get Gliding Sneak and Weightless instead of it is a noob trap. Assassin's Ability Tree is a mess that sometimes makes miracles.

 

ok yeah righting reflex is kinda useless at the higher levels but weightless is essential and you should definitely not skip it by the time you get to endgame
