SPOILER What mobs do you want updated with the new mob models?

Personally, I think Amadel, Garaheth and The Corrupter of Worlds. They are all creatures which are built up to be these epic bosses or extremely dangerous and Amadel and CoW feel like they'll seem pretty small in comparison to the new raid and dungeon bosses. As for Garaheth, it always felt lack-luster (not that there was a real alternative) to meeting this demon, only to find a very static build of a creature.

Anyway, post your thoughts on which mobs would benefit greatly from getting a new mob model in the 2.1 style :)

 

any time there's a piglin one that got ears after 1.16 (i'm lookin at you temple guard)

 

Modelling Annihilation was enough work. Doing Garaheth would kill me

 

So you’re confirming that no garaheth model will be in the update? On one hand, dang it, on the other hand (the more important hand), good on you for not overworking yourself

 

I was told we we're gonna see a ton of enemies that should've gotten models in 2.1 that didn't, it doesn't mean however that they never will, quest bosses like Amadel, Gareth, the plant in out of my mind, and COW are probably the devs last priority, since they're only gonna be things you see once in a class and never again, instead focusing on things like boss altars, LI, raids and early game (early game so that new players immediately see what wynn is capable of, i wouldn't be surprised if enemies in the tutorial also got reworked and modeled), the later mentioned being my hopes of mobs that got models

 

Counter point, it would look awesome!

(Jokes asides, Wynnexcavation, Temple of Legends & Dwarves & Doguns do need a update, even if its a simpler model)

 

Simply just make Garaheth a recolored and resized Annihilation
Easy, nobody will see the similarity

 

Quartron would be fun!

Also, seeing as they remodeled the cockatrice (which is a one off enemy from a lvl 38 quest) it seems fairly likely that at least COW will get a model. Especially since this update seems to touch on corruption a LOT! Oh and since they’re making their own animal models now, maybe they’ll make their own guard/iron golem models?

Im guessing they are saving important quest bosses for quest remakes. Because yeah, wynnex, ToL, etc NEED updates.
(one can hope though)

 

Very good point. Would be awkward if Amadel got a sick new model, while the rest of the wynnex questline remained totally untouched lol

 

I’m pretty sure the colossal rat build in shattered minds confirms that all rats are just massive meat cubes with tiny features

 

I wonder if the Legendary Island, Qira Hive and ToA bosses are getting a makeover, too...

 

I hope Antikythera Supercomputer becomes actual giant computer bossfight instead of grindfest
