Glitched world event in Thesead

I started a world event in Thesead in which I have to work for Jared together with Larry, Jerry and Pete. Everything went well until I finished placing the gunpowder Larry asked me to. Suddenly, his lines about placing the gunpowder started to repeat and the game seemed to not register that I had already placed the gunpowder as I could try making another gunpowder trail. The problem is that the gunpowder can't placed where it once was, as the game shows the previous gunpowder trail on the ground. NPCs keep repeating their lines or doing the same things. Leaving the lobby or the game or even using /kill doesn't solve the problem. What should I do?
