PSA: Alcohol Awareness

I'm making this post because spreading the dangers of alcohol has become an issue very important to me in the last few weeks. It pains me to say that I have almost lost a close friend of mine due to alcohol. This is unfortunately not the first time this has happened either. I want people to know that there is help out there and you are not alone in this fight against alcoholism.

My friend, lets call him Nynnf for the sake of anonymity, has struggled with alcohol since the early age of 14 when he first picked up the hich gamemode and found himself suffering and struggling to carry on mentally because of the great deal of strain it put on his mental state. Like so many others in the world, rather than seeking professional medical help or a therapist, he simply turned to the bottle. Nynnf was an exceedingly good player, much better than the average person, however the makings of a varsity level wynncraft player would never flourish because his alcohol addiction spiraled out of control.

In late 2020, Nynnf was to complete the Legendary Island challenge on hich. A feat which he achieved... surrounded by 15 other drunk community members all rambling on about their "shared" accomplishment. This victory did not last long though as shortly after while grinding church for XP, he died suddenly... Why you might ask? His reaction speed and gray mental state were not available in full capacity to allow him to move or attack. Thus he died.

This tragically happened many more times over the course of 4 years and even more tragically, has happened more frequently in present times. Just last night while proffing on yet another hich, another drunk friend of mine, lets call her Atchziens for the sake of anonymity, attempted to MURDER Nynnf in cold blood. Once again, because of the alcohol, Nynnf tragically died and lost much of his equipment.

To show the severity, and the main reason I am making this post, Nynnf nearly died AGAIN this morning while doing a lootrun while drunk in a lootbonus set instead of a combat set. Had alcohol not warped his mind he would not be put in this tragic situation that left him with only 200 health remaining in the Silent Expanse.

As we can see hear, Nynnf refused to admit he had a problem and simply thought it was a joke.


Please, if one of your friends is struggling with alcohol, don't be afraid to reach out and help them. You might just save their life.
