It does make me wonder if we skipped over something major that's hidden in one of the three posts about the horde.

 

Maybe "Scout" is a new class? High mobility, great AoE, poor defense and mid damage

 

the tweet this image is from has the sentence "We face Annihilation. We cannot fail". annihilation being capitalized is an odd choice, makes me think its hinting at the update name or something

personally i think the symbol looks like a sprouting plant, or an arrow

Hmm, I agree with you about the plant thing, but I think a plant-like symbol being called Annihilation doesn't make sense. Maybe it represents a force against this Annihilation?

Okay guys I was right. They did release stuff today and it did invalidate my theory. I do still think corruption has some ties, but not that it'll be the crux of the update. Now... for being the largest update ever... that's interesting.

 

He said "Most colossal update". I feel like this is a hint for something, but idk what

Yeah this might actually update the corruption storyline, i have a feeling wynnexcavation will be reworked as well

 

Unfortunately, Salted has stated he's leaving quests to the side, so I have no idea what it could be anymore lmao

 

Yeah I know, he said new quests wouldn't be added, he never said anything about reworks not happening, all the new quests will probably come with Fruma while some quests might get reworked for 2.1. Even if theres no new quests added, I don't think they would just be working on Fruma quests, every update has reworked at least one quest so even if none are added I don't imagine them being completly unreleased this year. But maybe they haven't finished any quest stuff yet, so that's just been delayed for Fruma or smth. Ig we'll have to wait and see.

 

I don't think it's out of the question, but I'd bet it would be worked into some new mechanic which they've worked on.
