THE WIKI HAS MOVED!

Fandom is super scummy, glad to see we’re off it.

one of the main issues of moving from fandom is that they won’t let you leave a note saying the community has moved, which is such an awful thing for a wiki to do; it really shows how bad the company is

 

Yeah, I just read through their Forking Policy, and it's so dumb. I wondered out of curiosity what would happen if we'd decide to just nuke the old wiki - break every page, add code redirecting to the new wiki, change the background banner to advertise the new wiki, that sort of thing. Turns out that's not even possible, as when a fork happens, Fandom removes old admins and "allow new admins to be chosen" i.e. appoint their own incompetent staff. What a forking mess

Actually I just came up with a very stupid plan that should technically allow you to "advertise" the new wiki. What if, despite the rule against promotion, the new staff wouldn't have a choice due to it being part of the game? The CT could add something to the game (a mob, item, name of a patch, etc.) that explicitly and verifiably promotes the new wiki and/or condemns the old one. If the new admins want information to stay up-to-date, how funny would it be if they had to maintain something like

fandom will remove it actually so it wont do anytihng. minecraft wiki tried it. they dont want ppl to leave their site or they will lose money. greedy bitches

 

I downloaded the extension yesterday and immediately submitted the Wynn wiki on their Google form :D

An exciting new update to the wiki has come! The Wynncraft Wiki was recently bought out by the Siegfried Foundation, so we shall honor Siegfried as such! We hope that everyone can honor Siegfried the same way we have. Happy Easter Monday!

 

Unfortunately, because SOMEBODY was reckless with the Hochstapler(tm) and tried to sue the Siegfried Foundation, the partnership between the wiki and the Siegfried Foundation is now cancelled. However, the termination of the partnership did not mean that the perfect wiki had to be lost forever, so if you still want to see it, click here. Like actually, whoever did that, you are really uncool, and I hope that you do Lost Tower a hundred times over every single day.
