    Hello my fellow Wynncraftians!

Some of you might be familiar with the Distant Horizons mod by jeseibel, which generates LODs for distant terrain (i.e. you can see very far without huge fps drops).

Since the mod is client-side you can only see places you visited previously on servers like Wynncraft.
I therefore ran around the Wynncraft map and pre-loaded most areas for Distant Horizons v2 to use.

Feel free to use my pre-loaded LODs which I want to share here!

    Installation:

I assume you have Distant Horizons v2 already installed (for older versions check out the github of obj-obj)
    1. First, modify some Distant Horizons settings so the mod works well with Wynncraft.

    2. The options button can be found on the top-left of the game settings.
      - In Advanced options -> Graphics -> Advanced Graphics Options set Cave Culling to False
      - In Advanced options -> Multiplayer set Server Folder Mode to Name Only (if not already set)

    3. Log into Wynncraft once to generate the necessary folder structure, then log out again

    4. Navigate to your .minecraft folder. The Distant Horizons data is found in Distant_Horizons_server_data, where you should see a folder for Wynncraft using the same name you gave it in the Multiplayer menu.

    5. Download the current zip file below and extract it into the Wynncraft folder (override if necessary).
Your file structure should be something like this:
      .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/<Wynncraft folder>/overworld/DistantHorizons.sqlite
You should be good to go now! :)

Yes, I generated it on 1.20.2 at least.

Should also work for every release of Distant Horizons 2.X.X, regardless of game version :)
Though I have not confirmed that myself

    Thanks for sharing!

I will update my upload too once I played through the Sky Islands or after the Rekindled update, whichever comes first

Weird, I did see the Sky Islands as being empty and loaded it in fully, but then it disappeared again, so then I thought you also loaded it in but it got corrupted so I gave up.

    I guess I'll try again

Nah I just hadn't generated the Sky Islands yet :D

But the migration was weird for me too, it didn't finish at first and I had to reimport the database by temporarily renaming the file and regenerating the folder.
After that it took a couple of minutes to convert everything, including my (currently mostly loaded) Sky Islands

I went back and it *seems* to be mostly loaded, most likely newer loaded chunks are a bit slower and weirder.

I also added Silent Expanse, though due to the new chunks' weirdness I'm not 100% sure it isn't corrupted

    Thanks for sharing the screenshot!

I took a look at my uploaded database as well as the one by Cubed.
Both didn't contain the ChunkHash table, so my guess is that something might've gone wrong during conversion, at least if you used my file which is in the old-ish format?
    Which file did you use?

Since I still didn't fully explore the Sky Islands yet I didn't upload a newer version with the new format myself, but it might be worth a shot.

Next version using new format: (outdated, newer version added in main post)
    W̶y̶n̶n̶c̶r̶a̶f̶t̶-̶L̶O̶D̶s̶_̶v̶0̶.9̶.z̶i̶p̶

Interestingly, this one actually does have a ChunkHash table, which now might or might not work.
For me it did on a second machine, even though I needed to copy it twice for some reason.

Feel free to try this version and please let me know if it's working, in case you do :)

Hey, sorry for the late reply :)
I didn't get a notification and only checked in now

Is the problem still there or did you get it fixed somehow/generated your own chunks?
Did it even generate stuff when you moved around a bit?
If yes, than you'd need to reimport the folder from the zip and restart Minecraft. Happens to me a lot.

Hope you got/get it fixed! :)

How long would you say it’ll take for you to cover everything? This looks really cool and I really want to try it out!

Hi, unfortunately I somehow didn't get a notification!

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this no matter which files I use :/
Tried all GitHub versions and mine, both worked for me on DH 2.1.2.

Did you also have the ChunkHash table errors or just no terrain?
I noticed that the GitHub version also has just the DistantHorizons.sqlite file, which needs to go into the overworld folder inside the Wynncraft folder.
Was that the case as well (since it appears that this is missing in the basic readme)?

Other than that I'm happy that you got one of the versions to work! :)

I'm a rather slow player and still need to The Eldritch Outlook and the Path to Darkness (and whatever comes after that?)
Other than that, The Silent Expanse is done and with that version 1.0, so expect that sometime soon-ish :)

I was planning to update every now and then afterwards, e.g. if some map changes are introduced or to insert some big quest areas I see during my second playthrough.

You can also go ahead and use the current version, it's already almost the whole map :)
I'd especially recommend it with shaders, feels like a different game!
