    Hello guys! I am an assassin (Shadestepper) player, currently at level 64. I love playing glass cannon builds, but I do not know what's good or bad in the game to make that happen. For e.g I would say maximizing my critical chance would be amazing, but I do not know if my backstab can critical strike, since it already deals double the damage. Then I thought that maximizing my intelligence is better since I can pretty much spam my backstab while my tank friend has the aggro of the boss. Then there is the equipment and all those positive and negative buffs. I do not know what to aim for and what to sacrifice.

    If anyone has a good build that can share with me, I would appreciate it.
    Thank you for your time!

    Smoke -> Spin -> Dash -> Backstab
    Should have enough sustain if you cycle well

    Just a few notes about playing shade, you don't necessarily need a spell cycle like literally every other class/archetype. All you have to do is manage marked on enemies, so opening with a spin attack (with fatal spin) is good for just getting one mark on enemies. Then, use smoke bomb to constantly apply marks, and then vanish + backstab for your damage. I prefer waiting for the vanish cooldown between backstabs on bigger enemies, so you can fill that time with throwing 1 or 2 smoke bombs to refresh your marks.

    Hello again! I play around marks as well. I recently switched to sticky bombs instead of black hole, because I am aiming to deal massive damages to the bosses and not just a group of enemies. I will also put sandbagging on to deal additional damage when inside my smoke bomb. Hopefully I can achieve big numbers later on in the game.

    yay you remembered locrian
    Of course, locrian would ideally be powdered w6w6 for curse (and because it gives a BIG damage increase due to fast attack speed and low base damage)
    Also, shade doesn't spell cycle
    just vanish-backstab, everything else does a lot less damage
