How long will Wynncraft as a server last?

I will say around 10-20 years in its current state. If Wynncraft really tries, it can probably push 25-30 years.

 

I dont know if any minecraft server will be around in 25-30 years. Either that or it'll still be thriving, only time will tell though.

 

If Mojang does something, MC can easily stay relevant for 50+ years

(Mario is still kinda relevant after 30 years, so the same might apply with Minecraft)

I don't think Minecraft's graphics can really age due to its style, it's hard to tell. It will stay strong for at least another 10 I'd imagine.

 

Wynncraft has proven to be shockingly resilient. I distinctly remember a post back in the server's first year where someone was sure it would die by 2015. Flash forward to today, it's lived past other larger minecraft servers, and no Minecraft MMORPG, even Skyblock, has managed to "kill" it.

I think this server's done a pretty good job of adapting over time. The server is essentially a Ship of Theseus: every build and feature from the launch year has been revamped in some way, and the only things that have 100% stayed the same are some broad lore ideas and concepts like the original 4 classes or Wynn province's layout. The server has done a lot to make itself more appealing to new players in order to ensure a consistent number of playerbase. Say what you want about Wynn using TikTok, but it shows they're willing to adapt to modern trends.

Overall, while Wynn won't live forever, I can see it lasting another ten years.

 

I’m more concerned about Minecraft lasting 10 more years than Wynncraft at this point (I should say just the Java Edition; the Bedrock Edition will practically never go away due to the Marketplace and the cross play between platforms). If it wasn’t for the Minecraft YouTube renaissance of 2018, then Wynncraft would be in a worse position. And idk if Minecraft could pull that off again in the next 10 years. Less so about the actual game and more so that 2029 will make the game old enough to vote and give plenty of time for the next big thing to come along.

Of course I’m sure there will always be people playing Minecraft the same way there is for games like GTA and Doom, if not more. But I’m just not sure Wynncraft could sustain itself from an inherently smaller playerbase no matter what it tries to do.

 

I'm changing my guess. WW3/NW1 will start in a few months, and humanity will end by 2025-26 for sure along with Minecraft
