Corrupted Infested Pit Boss Room

They might have changed the boss room today with it being "Kill the statue to stop the spiders from spawning" or something alike, yet no matter how many spells i do to the statue it does not want to die, until the point where I did not have any time life and just died from the sheer amount of spiders. How do you actually deal with it?

I noticed I posted this on the wrong category and I am deeply sorry that.

 

Ive just tried it and it worked perfectly fine.
When you fight it, does it take no damage at all or does it just not die in time?
If its the second how about you tell us your set? Im sure a lot of people are willing to help you improve it.
If its the first one I would recommend to try it again and if the statue still doesnt take damage you should write a bug report.

 

I don't think my set is the issue since I do not have any kind of problems with any other boss in the game. Might have just been bugged, it ruined my entire run since I do the forgery from back to front

 

couldn't you just dps arakadicus before the spiders really start becoming annoying
or am i dumb

 

It changed at right that day, atleast personally. It was to attack a statue before it spawns too many spiders and eventually kill you. Arakadicus wouldn't be an issue

 

Can confirm sometimes it just keeps spawning spiders and sometimes arakadicus doesn't spawn at all.
