SPOILER 2.1 Speculation Thread

If you haven't seen this:


The only things that have shown what this update could (big emphasis on that, do not have unrealistic expectations with this) entail is what isn't in the game yet. Given that the tweet mentions that development of Fruma will at most be slowed down a bit, it will likely be a bit larger than the Lootrun Update (since it did on the changelog that if it was released a few years ago it would've been a major update).

I would imagine a rework. I have a few ideas.
A) If it is connected to endgame stuff to help with fruma a bit I would think an overhaul of Raids or Corrupted Dungeons.
B) I heard someone say this in my discord guild thing but they thought it will be a rework of Guilds. Something about it's one of the only major parts of wynncraft which hasn't gotten a rework yet or can have a rework without interfering with fruma.

 

Wynncraft guilds were completely overhauled 3 years and 10 days ago
Being said it's all the same likelyhood given the state they are in right now

What about a professions (mainly gathering) rework. They did hint at that right?

 

I'd agree, although I don't know what they'd do to improve it? Either way, if they did update anything, that would mean that Fruma would come out with this new change, which is exciting! Especially considering we'll likely be getting a new level of gathering materials.

i think its expanding the earlygame questline. There is a great earlygame questline which completely dissapates upon infested pit, leaving you lost. A small level 18-25 rework could be in order.

 

Really hope that isnt all, I'm really hoping for a guild rework.

Give us more objetives, rework wars (killing a tower is so fun) and maybe the eco.

More ways to get guild tomes as well, waiting in line in my guild can take days at a time and I always get the wrong one.

a guild update that makes guilds more fun would be nice…

But when I read the phrase “it’ll also be very special and cool” I immediately thought of swarms. I’ve always hoped they’ll re-add swarms, and I vaguely remember Salted mentioning/hinting he wants to re-add them at some point if it ever became feasible to do (I might just be remembering wrong tho)

My hope is that it’s swarms.

 

I've been in a few, but there are so boring.

Really hope they are changed in the future.

I honestly hoping for a pvp reballance or guild update.
the clock mystery might make its appearance too

 

I'm thinking it'll be mainly overhauls.
Salted mentioned in an interview wanting profs to more like a 'sleeper' part of the game, so they may end up being like an idle game.
Dungeons and the forgery could do with a bit of a revamp in that there are a few dungeons needing updating, dungeon scoreboards to add, plus the forgery chest feels underwhelming after so many big updates to other areas of the game.
I think raids could do with balances and having some new unique modifiers or rewards to make ALL raids worthwhile, like, who even runs NoL??? Plus, if they add more raids in the future (surely there'll be one in Fruma and one in Dern in the far future) TCC and TNA may even become obsolete without decent changes and unique rewards.
I don't know too much about the guild side of things, but people seem to generally agree that they need some changes.
And finally, the ocean. An area that's about 10 years old and covers a huge portion of the map, yet feels barren and boring.

These 5 things (profs, dungeons, raids, guild and the ocean) could all do with a revamp. Wouldn't it be great if 2.1 was the Overall Overhaul update or something like that?
