Morph question

In build recommendations, people always recommend two morph-topazes. Why would you do that? Isn't Morph emerald meant for that? Why not use morph emerald? Please enlighten me

 

Because Morph-Topaz gives xp or something

 

Also morph topaz doesn't give full set bonus

I've been using double Emerald/ Topaz for ages now, it seems to perform exactly the same as if I used one each.
The tooltip doesn't actually count both as 2, but that's long just well-known to be a visual bug. The effect still happens for duplicate rings.

it's a visual bug, using two of the same set item is also how you get the "secret" 3 piece flashfire set

 

Its also interesting info for other ppl like me

 

you know, i find it interesting that the first example you thought of is flashfire rings and not black catalysts where the entire purpose is to wear two of them
