SPOILER What are your Predictions on the Fruma Release Date?

Title says all. With the knowledge we have about the recent update release dates and their size and quality, and the speculated size and quality of Fruma, what are your predictions of the Fruma release date?

For me, I think it will most likely release in 9-12 months.

 

It will release the same day as Silksong and Hytale.

Obviously, this is just my opinion:

I think it will absolutely be this year. In the next few months I'm expecting teasers leading up to a trailer around May/June/July, with the Changelog and beta in the following weeks. The beta will likely last 2 months-ish, leading me to predict anywhere between early September and late November

 

i reckon july 24th 2024 will be a rather interesting day for wynncraft

I have my doubts about it releasing this year, maybe we get a few trailers, but it should be released only in 2025.

I think it will release this year, but probably late into it. I kinda doubt Fruma will that take long to the point it is pushe into 2025, but if it is, then probably very early in it like how 1.20 released very early 2021 because they couldn't push a 2020 release.

Also on a side note, it seems the majority thinks as of now that Fruma is releasing in 6-9 months and 9-12 months which is reasonable, and I am surprised there are people voting <6 months and >18 months (18 months is July 2025 which is quite a stretch, and I don't think we've seen enough updates on Fruma to see a release before July this year).

 

I doubt Fruma will release this year because of how much content it appears to add to the game.

For comparison's sake, take the Silent Expanse, despite the fact its a smaller area (with much of it being inaccessible) and only having 5 quests it faced several delays before releasing.

Fruma apparently will have a larger area (with no dead zones acordding to the CT) and much more content (supposedly raising the level cap up to 120) so I doubt it will come out this year considering how much work all of this would take.

Just think about all the bulding, coding and testing involded in making an entire new province. Plus we can all see the standarts of content have increased immensely as well.

Add the fact that the CT has very limited resources and the staff still has to make sure the game runs smoothly points that the update will take a while.

I also bet we will get a smaller update (2.0.5) before Fruma, so that should delay things a bit more.

Finally, when Salted gave us a update last november he didnt mention any release window, which probably means the CT still had no idea when Fruma will be completed, which for me rules out 2024 entirely.

 

Yeah but it is fun to try and predict the release date using existing knowledge. Some people feel like trying to predict it is pointless and while I kinda agree it is still fun to try and guess for me at least.

Se was also released like 4 years ago, so they probably did not have as many tools back then as they do now, especially with the fact they can do stuff with 1.16, and Fruma is guaranteed to raise the lvl cap to 120 (probs closer to 115 if I had to guess).

However, I do agree that it would be much more work still than SE, raids, and probably the combat rework, especially with the very high standards, but I doubt it will release 2025 still because of the time already spent into Fruma (which has been in focus for abt a year and 3 months already, and before that they were already working on it for 3 years, though I don't know how much focus was put in during this time.
