The Sky Islands lootrun camp is a horrific experience

well i'm glad i'm not just being a noob with the things i find frustrating haha
i've played mostly corkus lootrun this week (i really want a shiny fatal) and while i prefer it to sky islands, it still has a ton of issues. mostly pirate lattice. fuck pirate lattice. but the two destroy challenges have mobs that can melt you instantly, the sanitise robots defend has a nuke enemy that can wipe your health instantly and corkus quarry has the lazer bots which do 50% of your hp in one shot, regardless of ehp.

 

sky islands and molten don't have unique soundtracks and that is very sad

 

ngl i don't think i've played with music enabled since like 2014. it's always laggy so i just have my own music playing

 

Unfortunately this isn't always a great idea since it resets killstreak boons

 

(enters sing-song voice)it was so much worse when there were no checkpoints. (leaves sing-song voice)

Killstreak only lasts for 30s??

 

I've prob done like 80% of my lootruns in corkus and i can absolutely confirm that sanitizing robots is aids (the workshop can be annoying af too)

 

that and the destruction challenge by the avos town which has mobs that just eliminate your entire hp bar. i still haven't figured out which mobs do so much damage and how to actually avoid it

 

Finally got around to this one and holy shit it’s so fun as trapper, I think that moving in sky islands with grapple hook is the most fun thing the game has to offer right now tbh

I DO see how doing it as any other class would be hell; sky islands isn’t known for being easy to navigate quickly. Honestly a cotl lr might be easier with all the bullshit vertical movement for classes like warrior

there’s also a few… issues… with the arenas

the space tower boss is annoying as hell since hitting it is hard af, the birds are annoying but manageable, and there’s one combat challenge with crystal mobs where if you go out of range of the arena you get stuck under it and an anticamp mob obliterates you while the upper mobs cast pull so you can’t escape

overall i think it’s a neat camp, one that’s super fun for a few classes and super bad for others
