In my first playthrough I really hated the Canyon since I was very bad at navigating in it, however after some time it really grows on you, it really is an awesome area that must have been a bitch to plan and build.

CT really out did themselves there.

 

Agreed, I use the Wynntils map and I still get confused. It’s amazingly well-built.

 

Imagine now without Wynntils, my first playthrough was tough, but in a way it'a better that way, the map spoils too much.

 

True. I wish that there was some kind of exploration mode where the map starts out blank and you have to travel around to unlock more of it, like in vanilla MC.

 

You might rejoice then, as version 0.0.4-beta.63, released just a few hours ago, adds an option to hide undiscovered areas, on the map.

 

That's a good addition, however it's unlikely to achieve its objective since most newbies won't be using wyntills (or any Wynn mods) until much later.
Unless they are being introduced to the game by a friend, new players won't have acess any map, other than the one in the site.

This is why CotL is my favourite region on the map (at least aesthetically)

 

I think you understood the changelog incorrectly. I'm pretty sure that the new update makes it so the minimap is hidden in unmapped areas (like quest and event areas that are off the main map). Also a great feature, but we can still see unexplored areas on the main and minimap sadly (I would really like this feature as well!).

damn these look cool what settings do you use? cotl doesnt glow as much with the same shaders (and why do they look so blue lmao)
